Someone else who doesn't see the bidratio in master/slave filter mode ?

I don't look at this thread for a couple of hours and have to catch up on 4 pages.....sheesh...

I have been a bit busy this week so hope to do some catching up this weekend.....(As much as my 3 year old Grandson allows it....lol)

But, luckily HotPotato and Jibala have things firmly under control.......Thanks....

it was integrated (for auto)
but
you chose not to display (for manual trading)

If you choose selection type master/slave you can use the additional bidrate filter.

You must select it (first) in order for it to 'function'...
'just' choosing TRUE doesn't mean it's working/filtering...

But if you want to make it perfect, let user decide what time to set DO. If parameter is "0", then use broker DO, if set to a specified time, then use set time instead.

OK here it is. Dashboard is modified version of Ultimate. It shows Old D1 and W1 candles.

Very dangerous.

Normally when the broker starts a new Daily bar you take the close of the previous bar as the DO which is a static value after the bar is closed on the last tick even if the next tick is hours later.

If you let the user set a time you take of course the average of the current bid and ask as the DO, no use to take the open/or close of the bar because you could have done that automatically. If you set this time wrong or the broker doesn't send a price update for a while (connection lost or something like that) you could end up with a totally wrong DO.


Now that i am typing this i found an enormous design flaw in the system.
The system uses the EURUSD new-bar-generated signal to get the fi adr values and DO because the EURUSD is the fasted ticking symbol.
But we are trading 28 pairs and the broker will only generate a new bar if it is time AND if there is a tick (price change) for that pair.
No tick, no new bar so i do have to check all 28 new-bar-signal separately.
