Fed is going to raise rate. very soon. signs before rising rate is lying under equities and bond market, and its so obvious that equities are in correction phrase, and so as treasuries. treasuries yield has been rising for 6 months since late jan and early Feb. A further point is the sliding price of commodity. Everything is pricing in for a rate rise

For Sterling, ever since Margaret Thatcher Sterling is a strong currency politically (as the aim for the government is to keep its strength) and now we have it strength fundamentally. Carney and BoE has been intervening the market by speeches to drive up sterling against dollar and its rate mode expectation. Europe is recovering but not soon it might be faster than early 2016 but from now til year end. i dont believe its getting anywhere.

From Technical point of view for this pair... it formed a bear flag since march a monthly bottom at 0.70x. and the bottom is broken. Its a monthly level break out, we had a weekly close bearish. Daily is full bearish and now all eyes are on monthly close but i guess it wont be that important as we are quite far way now even the structure with no new high since march is confirming of this leg down. I agree with you to catch the dead cat bounce but not for long term i dont think 0.72 is on the table soon but it is surely a level i'm looking at from the bottom cause its a mid of 0.83

A booby trap TT. 83 could be the spot. Endurance will not sustain gbp much longer. Gbp is already valued since €uro started. There are sellers that are now buyers. Someone in the eu hates draghi. I wonder who it is.

If the pair break below 0.6918, the downtrend probably would extend.

Could not resist the hourly inside bar this morning after the poor Gbp retail sales figures. it made 1 : 1 easily enough after the 4 hours of dithering, leaving me with a free trade. I'm just wondering if we are going to leave the .7000 zone for a while. We might test .7045 again? If we do I may add longs and look for .7200+.

Tue Jul 28 9:30am GBP Prelim GDP. What impact could this have tomorrow?. GBP falling, another rise for Euro to .73 I suppose. Anyone here with a different idea?.

Very Good as 0.71512 was touched it was the mid of 0.73885 and 0.69354 E/U also formed another bearish triangle bottom at 1.081x
time for the break out

The struggle seems to be at .7000 for now. .7050 might be a good place to consider shorts.
