Hey guys, just wondering how many of you trade with only One pair, Few pair, or lots of pair regardless because you believe any market is the same.

But some of the people like to trade with only Few pair, as they know what is going on with that pair, the feeling of it and the movement of it.

Some only plays one pair and maximize their lots on it as with their "Deadly accuracy strategy"

Whats your take?

For me, i used to trade many pairs, and believe all market is the same, unfortunately it doesnt feel so, i lost alot of money , so i now focused on a few pair that i like. and i've felt much more profitable and easier to manage.

Please share how many pairs you trade off, a few or many, or only one, and the beliefs that you have regarding trading those pairs. more importantly vote !

thankyou for sharing

I look for opportunities across many different markets, but my 'normal' trading activity is only 2-4 pairs and the dow.

Some that trading long or middle term may look at many pairs for find the best opportunity, so also who trade with a method that have to wait for signals.
Scalper and short term trader may focus more on few pairs.
Personally i focus main on 1 or 2 pair with very low spread, as my main trading style is frequency trading, i make about 50-100 trades a day, looking for few pips profit.

Cheers.

Lubo.

ofcourse they do
by same i mean they behave the same as markets are market, regardless of what you're trading.

there are some people out there who believe this out there , they are confident with their system. aka : no matter how/who/why they move i rip the profit. markets are markets.

im a manual trader, also opportunist, so it is crucial that i identify these small differences in movement and volatility in different pairs.

Hi all!
Has decided not to create a new thread, and to ask a question here.
Sorry my English, it is not my native language. Hovever...

Has noticed that if to look at movement of pairs in day it is very frequent one of them drops out of the general tendency. Here is how EURUSD drops out:

Checked that news don't influence it. Volatility - too. There is any force which pulls pair from the general movement... At all I do not know.

Respected members, how you consider from what it depends??

they say diversification is the only free lunch in wallstreet.I trade 11 currencies of which 9 have high to medium correlations.so basically I trade 3 groups of correlated currencies plus oil, mini Dow, gold.
I used to trade EU and GU only but after embracing fully mechanical trading on longer timeframes I can track as many instruments as my margin allows without straining myself.

It is because the EUR is weaker than GBP, AUD and NZD currencies.

In other words, the news that came out of US was good yesterday. The good news encouraged the money to flow into riskier assets except the EUR because of all the bad news affecting the EU.

Ok. But I didn't manage to reveal interrelation of news and price movement. Probably, SOMETIMES news also influence predictedly, sometimes unpredictedly. But as they sometimes don't give in general any effect. In what their practical sense then!?

I will try to express the point of view..
First... I think, the price is influenced by actions of unimaginable number of the speculators trading in money which at them aren't present (marginal trade). Only the speculator should sell sooner or later back that he has bought. Therefore such market should be in long-term prospect in eternal flat.
Though, at the analysis of divergences and the subsequent returns (on TF from Н1 and above) me it was not possible to reveal obvious law.

Second.. It is Special drawing rights. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special_drawing_rights
On mine, with introduction of this unit, in the world the era of ambiguous concept of exchange rate has come. The exchange rate, remained for speculative wars with the population, and in interstate balances and calculations, is used SDR. Puppet theater of shades.
