AJLFx, Hello mate,

How do you decide the trend, ie whether to go long or short? And over what time period?

Not a massive fan of using the TMA dashboard indicator and noticed you're not using it either.

I have a 60min(1hour) TMA band on the 1min chart.

I use that as the means to decide the short term trend.

The image below shows the previous CADCHF open trade.

I look at the 1hour TMA center band ... (blue=bullish, brown=bearish, white=neutral, ranging, transitioning, etc)

If the center band was mainly brown then I would have looked for a short trade after the break of 15min TMA.

Ultimate I am trying to trade inline with higher timeframe direction.
This, in my opnion, allows for a higher probability of success.

The "TMA Dashboard" can accomplish the same thing.
I prefer the higher timeframe TMA lines as a guide on my charts.

EUR weakness as market opens so I'm interested in buying first turn up on my middle band...

EURUSD at15 min lower band so a nice green middle band would be worth a look...

EUR pairs middle bands all turning green so EUR looking good to buy but meanwhile this GBPJPY is breaking overnight range..

EUR is having a bit of a ding dong but I did try when it turned green but a BE trade so whilst it sorts itself out I'll see if I can get another 10 pips out of the fiery Dragon...

Convinced EUR is going up so looking for any green slope changes but keeping it safe...

becareful price is sliding closer to top of m15 and that is sliding down....it may be a short there at the top.clive your mind is channel to wanting it long.open your thoughts....what if its short???Let the market tell you !

How do you superimpose h1tma band on a m1 chart,and do u go back to m15 chart to check its break?. It would be great if you can outline your steps of taking and exiting trade for us novice here.Thank you

That's impressive in a couple of hours! At what point do you close the trade, when the slope turns back to the other colour?

Any news on the TMA slope meter like you wanted it? (I know there is one already, but not the way we wanted it initially)

yes, i just had an alert on audusd that the slope has changed to bearish and i have just placed accordingly
