they happen from time to time the big move in morning capped price to its lows then a lot of sideways crap fortunate to get 10 ticks today and that with having a 20 tick loss

A great thread, truly enlightening. Simple setups that occur frequently, but are so easily missed.

welcome dilmesh it seems you already caught on you are faster than jack. it really is a simple setup we find the overall trend of day from midnight to ny time and if it has waved up we look for market to pullback and find either a 2b or 123 to get back into overall trend. if low of day gets taken out we change bias. the only time we take a reversal opposite of days trend is at top or bottom of market and we get a 123 or 2b that's the basics of the entries the rest is trade management to make money

Yes effectively. I use Tradestation so a 13 pip Momentum bar is the same as a 14 pip Range Bar, same result though.

I didn't take this Crude 123 coming off the lows as it was pre NY, would have trailed out for +20.
