Its more annoying than funny i talked myself out of that 2b short so had wife kick me in rear end thats the penalty for over analysing

I am wondering though. This sizeable move down looks like almost a straight line on the range bar chart but using the rules, one would only have captured +10 as price retraced back from +20 to +10. That must annoy the hell out of you when it happens.

You deserved it

On a serious note, you have been very clear on just executing the trades and not to think too much, after the strategy is clear. It is a very good example for us, how to be a consistently profitable trader, executing as flawlessly as possible. I'd say that talking yourself out of trade won't happen anytime soon for you.

hey jack there seems to be a little discrepancy with your charts. mine are a standard 18 tick range bar I think your is a `18 range bar met which gives a different look to things heres is my chart

Yes, I did think our charts looked a little different but I guess it depends on where the data start point is.

Open up style and maybe options are there. With sierra i have 3 different range settings to chose

Dont know maybe in setting you change it from 1 tick to 0 or to 2 and see if it resembles my chart

For us Europeans, it's nice to notice that these same principles work across various products in EU trading times too (of course they work). Example being 6E ie. euro/usd futures. Some adjustment needed for targets and stops, while average moves per day differ from CL.

Yes interesting, although as with my Crude chart can't seem to get it to match no matter what I do with the settings. Different data providers I guess, although as they're futures you would have thought it wouldn't make a difference. Ho hum.

Based on my data, there was a 2b entry right off the bat, currently sitting at +10 locked-in and stalling at the highs of the overnight range.

its not data feed jack you don't have standard range bars which is after price goes to 19 th tick you get new bar you have range met which is when price goes 18 ticks you get a new bar

Ah, so if I change it from 18 to 19 it should now agree? How does it look now, 19 is on the bottom.
