Are all of these entries correct? I would guess that you would not take the first however as it came early in the UK session, and also the last one which was late in the US session.

if trend was down first one is correct then point 3 becomes 2b pt to go long.your second one is not a 123 its just a continuation move the others are correct

A 2b is a trapping manuver by those who move the market they make it seem like the trends continuing then they slam on the breaks and take it the other way

A 123 is a HH HL but not a HH a 2b ia HH HL HH LL

there were 2 trades. trend for the day was up at top of market we got a 123 entry was 1 tick below point 2 which was 94 locked in 30 ticks. my next trade was double lot size but stop was 15 so worst case scenario is breakeven. we got a 123 to get back into up trend price went up 24 ticks locked in 15 at double lot size makes it 30 ticks. total for the day 60 ticks heres the chart

I can't remember reading the reason why you trade Brent on a Wednesday instead of Crude. I can't get Brent data currently through Tradestation so I've been looking at Crude anyway. Two 2b trades so far today as far as I can see, one loser for -20, one winner for +20. Are these setup's correct?

The reason is brent for some reason doesnt have inventory news. The setups were correct but crude wasn't in any trend until it recently took out low. As far as data you have to add it to your list

When we come to the market at 830 ny time we must determine from midnight to 830 are we in a uptrend or downtrend or sideways market it was clearly going sideways

Excellant jack you missed one when price made low of day the formed a 2b to go long from to take it to top otherwise you correctly found the turning points pretty simple once you know what to look for

Do you mean this one? I felt that price had already moved too much between the bottom and entry point and you'd effectively be chasing things.

In the 2nd screenshot, I've highlighted an area made a double bottom so neither a 123 or a 2b. What do you do in such circumstances?

And finally, after the last 123 you could argue that there was a continuation setup where the 3 of the 1st move became the 1 of a subsequent move. I don't now whether this is a valid setup though, again, you could be considered to be chasing a move halfway through.
