hi all looks like a decent system here. Ive been directed here through looking for TMA channels to improve my scalping system. I will test this along side and join in the conversation.

A little help please, can anyone tell me how to remove the lines off the chart, the ones i´m referring to are the ones that mark price at every 0.25 0.50 0.75 etc and are grey on the chart.
Secondly every time i open a new chart this template automatically loads how can i stop that as i want to get some naked charts up and i can no longer do that.

The indy you are reffering to is called Quick draw auto V2 just delete it but then you will have to go to your objects list and select all then delete to get rid of the old lines...

The reason it does that is I called the template "Default" so whenever you open a chart it uses the default one so just change that to whatever template you want when you open a new chart..

charts, indicators, delete what you dont want, right click chart, template, save template as whatever.... hey presto.

Clive, that "Super Indicator V2 nrp," what exactly is that and how should it be used? Does it repaint (does the nrp stand for "non repaint")? Thanks in advance?

i think the TMA DASHBOARD has many potential clive, why dont we add an alert when the 1m,5m,15m are in the same direction or any according to the prefrence of the user.

All indicators based on centered TMA (Triangular Moving Average) repaint and should only be used for estimation only.
I got this information from someone called Mladen and this is his explanation :

"TMA : it's definition is fairly simple.
Now, at some stage of TA development people like Hurst and Brian Millard were thinking how can that be made better (since obviously there is a lag in the data that TMA is calculating - the most significant price in calculation is in the middle if the length so it is a half way from the current price, current price has less weight in that calculation) and they came to an idea that was already used in some other indicators : to "center" it.
Now centering is simply shifting values to the left on the chart by half length bars and after doing that it looks like this :As it is obvious, by shifting it to the left, it fits perfectly the data but it starts lacking data from the right. And then comes in the centered version of triangular moving average ...In order to avoid that missing data, people have found out that it might be extrapolated (the missing data) and that is what is usually used as centered triangular moving average : TMA that is shifted by half length to the left and the missing data is extrapolated in a certain way.The gap from the right is filled in and it all looks just fine. Except that there is no 100% exact way of extrapolating data. So, that extrapolated gap is a subject of changes no matter what extrapolation method one uses (otherwise I would be drinking coffee with Warren Buffett in the morning and not in my kitchen). There is no way to make it non-changeable (non-repainting). None ... So much about the wonders of centered triangular moving averages : it is a good tool for estimation, but in no way should it be used in "signaling" mode since the signals are going to change ..."

I hope everyone now knows that TMA repaints.
I also use TMA, but only for estimation and it should be used together with reliable, NRP indicators ...

Does everyone have their TMA periods set to 20 or 56? Has anyone found either to be more reliable than the other?

20 seems ok on M1 timeframe, even babon system which scalps on M1 also uses TMA 20 period but with 4 ATRMultipliers bands (it also uses HMA)

Nice post very useful and I completely agree with the statement 100% ...

As I have said here numerous times these TMA lines are not "exact pionts of entry" but rather "Zones" where we can expect a reversal etc so make sure you confirm any TMA trade with price action and on the 15 and hrly bands wait for the middle band on 1 min to change to your direction then take the next CCI signal that also agrees eg HL if buying or LH if selling....

Indicators are just that "indicating" all entries should be confirmed by the price action...

EUR pairs are approaching hrly higher band so could be worth looking at like this eurjpy chart..

GBPUSDM1 gave a quick 10 Pips after colour change and CCI Signal. Moved USDCAD and USDCHF take profit to BE, hope price gets back to entry point.

I wanna post some charts and trades. How do I get the entry arrow, exit arrow and dotted line connecting both onto the chart after the trade was completed? Once I reload my template, those trade points are gone. See picture.

Go to account history and then drag & drop to chart the trades you want to show.
