Thats what I am doing. Consider Greece safe and Sydney+To bull on Eur. Once Frankfurt/Lo opens though, stocks cash flow is possibly gonna outweight investment one and result in Eur sell.

Also have heard one guy on EU thread come up with brilliant trading idea, making me laugh huge prolonging my life. Suppose you consider broker claims negative balance will be refunded valid, you could rob him on contract and go one account full short, second full long (under another name). Margin called account after Gap will be refunded and the second in huge profit . Not like I was gonna do such a thing, but is a funny idea.

This week we just had a great fundamental set up. Risk currencies (AUD primarily), rallied early week into Thursday with market expecting a Greek deal. After the Deal fell through and a weekend meeting was announced, funds needed to reduce exposure becuase of new uncertainty. Asia, london and then US only had one more session each to reduce before the weekend wild card. GBP has positive fundamental expectations next week and Euro is being treated as a funding currency like Japan for now. Went long E/Aud and G/Aud at the beginning of Asia and sold out 1 hour into US (enough time for funds to reduce Aud, or "risk exposure"). After The large risk rally early week into Thursday, it was almost certain more than a few people would be wanting to tone that down coming into the weekend, not to mention the new longs coming in seeing the same thing. Made good $... and no weekend risk

I have lost "peanuts" last week. Was UJ short, EU+GU long and Xau long. Xau and UJ +- paid for GU and EU loss. Am actually doing still the same..am slow guy. But there is more fun coming. Now we can be watching dust settling and trading range, but also start loading shorts on bonds and US stocks for hikes. Also could go USD bull @ my primary GU/EU targets. Once initial wave of hike cash flow settles, I buy sooo much GU you cant imagine .

Not zero-risk but hard to ignore ... although I'm not in at the moment.

It works like this.
The current price of the ZDP share is 127.5p.
The current NAV is 138p.

The company has a wind-up date in November this year, so you buy ZDP shares at 127.5p and cash-out for at least 138p.
That is a gain of 8% .. not exactly eye-watering. However the NAV keeps increasing so you could reasonably expect to see something closer to the originally projected 150p ... maybe 142p, for slightly more than 11%

Did anybody take this? Looks like your payout will be at least 148p which is around 16% less dealing charges....

Since I posted this yesterday NZDUSD has fallen ~70 pips. And I expect a whole lot more over the coming weeks. Some reasons why:

1. Market normally perceives any new govt as undesirable risk......

2. ..... especially a Labor govt with an inexperienced leader, that is co-aligned with parties with a more leftist agenda (markets tend to see capitalist economic policies as being more stable), and has some controversial monetary policies.

3. Coalition kingmaker Peters has actively stated that he wants to encourage exports, and will induce RBNZ to take measures to drive NZD lower.

4. RBNZ has in any case been stating for a long time now that it would prefer a weaker NZD.

Possibly not a totally no-brainer trade, but there's a decent confluence of solid fundamental reasons. Let's see what happens.......

With only a couple of days to go it looks as though GBX144 is the redemption price. Something may happen in the next few days, but I expect that the assets are already allocated and therefore there will not be much change on the posted price for JDTZ. So approximately 13% over ~11 months.
