price takes a lovely move down short and suddenly profit not showing

why?

spread suddenly massively increased from 3 pips to stupid amount

GBPCAD Short

my 2nd trade im trying,,,this a counter trend on higher timeframe 15min in a h1 channel

i was up 18 pipsso tightened my stop to lower my risk then the robbers decided to try stop hunting by enlarging the spread

robbing gits,,,didnt get me tho,,,put stop back

Hello devontrader,

I apologize if I'm speaking out of turn, but I wanted to make a comment about your broker concerns. I'm not making comment to criticize, but simply because I think it can be very detrimental to the psychology of trading to believe such things.

I see that you are trading 8 lots, so would I be right in thinking that you are trading demo?

If so, I would ask: why would a broker bother to stop hunt or spread widen a demo account for zero gain to themselves? To take it a step further, it would actually be in a nefarious broker's best interests to do the exact opposite; entice you to trade live on the basis of your demo success and then hit you with dirty tricks.

May I humbly suggest that spread widening is being caused by some alternative event, and "stop hunting" is being caused by natural market action. if I'm not overstepping too many boundaries, I'd like to further add: if you have any doubt about the veracity of your broker I wholeheartedly recommend you change brokers ASAP and confidently remove such thoughts from your trading process.

The CCI offers divergences day in and day out. Great confirmation on entries which I have shown many examples of in the past when the trading was as simple as ABCD .

most of us stay away from trading this time of day...lower liquidity=high spread

That is not a template I use. Only to show a non repainting TMA to help eventually the people from this thread out ...
But I do like many indicators and I have no problem with that. After all, everyone has his own trading style.
Here is another picture, not with TMA, but with projection bands.
One m1 projection band, another yellow one is M5 and the magenta is M15.
Made by Mladen, one of the best coders, so it is good stuff.

I would agree with this. Tried using TMA bands a few years back but couldn't handle the repainting issues. I'll stick to the HMA system and try to incorporate the new currency strength dashboard.
I would normally be buying these as a nice uptrend but they are both heading straight into the 5 and 15 min TMAs outer bands so can we expect a reversal here???

Still finding myself confused as there always seems to be a reason not to trade nowadays when in my old days if something was moving up strongly like these two I would just wait for a pullback and hit it....But then quite often it would goto BE at 3 pips and then wham come straight back at me so I'm hoping once I get my head aroound these TMAs it will help...

Gonna watch these two and see what happens at their 5 and 15 min TMAs..
