Patience, I have not seen a good setup today on the 4 core pairs, and today being monday with that big gap. patience and discipline are basically the same thing in regards to trading. You have to be patience to wait for the best trades/setups and you need discipline to be patient.

I feel good that you said that, Yomi. I am in the NY time zone, so I only trade NY session, but I looked over the London session and came to the same conclusion. The opening gap was quite big and the only setups have come with the ADR looking questionable. PDF is definitely in play today.

Hi fxrabbi, first of all compliments for your new thread.

At NYO I was looking at GU and saw a possible setup, half an hour later NYO pair was in sync with GJ and giraia was OK too, the only piece missing was the volume confirmation- An order placed @ .200 would have ended to TP (+20). What do you think about ?

You are right, I could't have taken the trade myself because of volume confirmation and rule No. 22, don't worry we will soon get plenty of good trades/setups, the week is just starting.

I too was looking at this trade at the time. I only didn't take it because of the DP and the way price had reacted it previously. Also, this was the only pair of the four that still had room to go in respect to ADR so I was thinking that if the others stalled then GBPUSD would also. I was, however, willing to overlook the ADR issue somewhat because I know there is reason to believe this week could be increased range on all pairs because of the imminent Greece news. Anyway, I passed on this one.

Can you please clarify what you look for in regards to the PVA indicator? I have looked back over about 100 of your posts and I can't find a full explanation. I have looked at the notes inside the mq4 file that explain the colors, but what exactly are you looking for and do you need it to happen on the signal candle? I know you have said you like a couple of red/green bars but do you make this a hard and fast rule? Secondly, you referred to rule #22 above. I show a green dot for the MACD on that GBPUSD signal. Do you require more of a thick mark on the MACD indicator?

Yes, the chart is helpful. I think I understand but in regards to rule #22, I am just confused as to how the MACD should be. The one on bubincka's chart and the one you are showing are different from the one I indicated on my chart. I want to see the type on my chart: thick/bold type, you have no business with the type you are showing me, please the MACD is important and is a requirement to this system. It will filter bad trend for you.

It's good to see you have poked your head in here. Interesting, since both you and fxrabbi are two of the people whom I have followed with great respect on the other thread. I think you two are both very helpful to me because of the discipline you show. It is the hardest part of trading for me. I can put up a big sign with rules on the wall of my office and then still ignore every rule I have posted. I am working on this and that is why I really do need to start posting here more. It is a way to hold myself accountable. I also feel that you are someone who can be helpful to me because I see that you are also in the U.S. I sometimes feel that we are at a disadvantage trading this system because of that. It often seems like the good trades are done before we start our day. I think that if you are doing this, as I see you are, and have been for a while, then I too can do it.

Also, thanks, by the way, for the excel sheet for tracking trade results. I downloaded it and forgot to say thanks. I like it a lot.

Focus on the first 3 hours of London Open and the first 3 hours of New York Open, that's where the best setups are usually found.

Thanks for the kind words, and I'm glad you like the spreadsheet. It helps me by compartmentalizing my trading into days. Reminds me that I only need to focus on today, at that is enough.
