Flag trading the trend

Hi, handy - I am just back from my annual meditation retreat, so have not been following the thread the last 2 weeks.... but assuming it is indeed the NinjaTrader indi you seek, it's called anaHeikinAshi and was coded by Fat Tails, a very proliifc and excellent programmer.... BUT you need to be an Elite member over at Big Mike's Forum. Can't remember what it costs any more to join - it's a one-off payment that used to be about $25, could be as much as $100 now, but WELL worth it, as if indicators turn you on, the Elite section is the place to be.

... but if I understand correctly, you can get a free Siera Charts demo and exactly replicate H's charts (detailed a month or two earlier in this thread).

Lots of good futures trading threads at BMT, again most of the best being in the Elite section - a more serious type of trader over there... no offence eveybody, but you lot here at FF...

td the chart on left is range bar met the right is standard range bar. the difference is a new candle will for when price goes 18 ticks the other it needs to go 19 ticks befor a candle is formed

Look, actually Ninja is using the standard range bar, eventhough their support said other things. But this is good, we have same candels here!

the way to tell is watch what happens when a. Candle gets 18 ticks and if a new candle forms its NOT standard

I am on Sierra, but I have noticed that my candles sometimes look different from yours...How do I determine which is which ???

Right click on chart select chart settings make sure in drop down box you selected standard range bar ticks .there are 4 other options use the standard one.

I watched closely and the new bar doesn't form, when we hit 18. It forms only after we hit 19 ie. one new tick after 18. So I think, it should be ok then. Also yesteradays charts we had same in Sierra and Ninja.
