Hello, I have a question about this if anyone mind answering. Before the the big move up on h1, there was a perfect TDI short setup which I took (also a UCAD long TDI setup). As soon as I saw momentum dying and EU buyers kicking in I reversed my trades as the HTF was a nice EU long uptrend.

So my question is there a way to determine that it was a Fake TDI short setup at FO even though it looked perfect? Recently this past few days this kind of thing has happened a lot. I immediately decided to long EU afterwards (albeit not a perfect TDI cross) due to the prev two daily bullish bars.

Here is my EU m30 chart for all of us to see why the short between FO/LO failed. I was looking at H1 and jumped in and jumped out too. I thought there was a nice angle of TDI but since HTF TDI >68, even the best angle would not help

Hi Likica

Please can you tell, what keep out to take short trade at FO it was good divergence setup. in both GY and GU. I took it and got 25 pips. but want to know so i can also avoid such fake....

Just like what I mentioned about EU trade, do not trade against supports if they are nearby...(50MA, 200MA....). If there are rooms for 30 -50pips move until it touches those lines, go for it if you have good PA

I see. The ema 50 is quite far from h1, although on M30 it does seem to act as strong dynamic s/r. You mentioned TDI HTF >68, do you mean the H4 TF?

I am annoyed too as they were perfect tdi setups (EU long, ucad short) at FO . sigh

yeah. H1 H4 TDI need to be checked if we take trades against trend ( when I mentioned against trend I mean for M30 chart if price above 200MA I call it up trend, and if price is below 200MA it is down trend. Conservative will only go long if price above 200MA and go short if price below 200MA (with TDI & APB confirmed of course)

i drop the ball on this one LK... two losses - EA (yesterday -30pips) nad EU today (-30pips)... funny how when you chose the direction of the market it doent listen...

Trading it Ninja style.... watching PA until i saw weakness then jumped in backwards from the hights of a tree...

EN CT M30 cross +50+60+70+90pips one PT left running fro 100pips...
ECad (same trade) +50+60pips ...

still in EA just barely - went to 50pips but no PT cause of spread ... then GA kicked back up and now have 10pips ... out of EA @BE

ok, now looking for DTs on the E's and any signs of H&S patterns but also could also move higher... gotta keep an open mind and trade PA

hi Shadownet - wat you are asking is the same as wanting to know which signals will be correct - this is impossible to answer IMO. the LO is notorious for reversals - but - wait for it - not all the time - so if you could determine when it would reverse there would no longer be a market (by definition of wat we know as a market). but your reasoning is spot on - the highest chance of success was to go long cause thats wat happened recently - this is how every (lagging) indi works so why not general PA behavior

Thanks for the clarification GS. Just this past few days there's been tons of fakeys with the TDI (especially that GU,massive stop hunts). I'm re-reading all 5 PHX62 studies again.

spot on again Shadownet - this is why you may have noticed most of the good trades came @ LO+1 [the only trader i have seen trade fakeys is LK - she will scalp the fakey and swing back the other direction in one session ]

yep, i was looking for a double tops or head&shoulders turn out to be the second...(missed this cause i was Zzzzz... dreaming of the Queen of England, she was about to knight me for...). Same pattern for other E's except EA which broke high cause it was dragged up by GA...

phx62's stuff is the best on ff for tms on the H1 IMO - his generalk analysis can be applied to M30 with only minor adjustments
