Hi, Tony!
Aren't you concerned about the OPEC decisions today? The CAD will be very sensitive to that. The big players might use NFP to do their games. And there is the CAD mployement also, witch may alter the NFP result. Why don' t you split the risk on two or three pairs? I'm thinking EUR/USD, AUD/USD and USD/CAD.

,bout half pissed, gonna have a crack at this NFP. Max lots per account.....= $5 a pip...ha ha ha ha ha...cough....choke....spew...etc.

i tested this system today on live account by opening buy and sell position at the same time before news. i set the tp and sl as tony recommended 1 minutes before news. but my stop loss was not executed at the point i placed it. EVENTUALLY I SUFFERED LITTLE LOSS. WHO CAN HELP ME.

Slippage occurs when there is a lack of liquidity insufficient enough to fill the price at that point. The market will gap causing your stop loss to be executed at the next best price available.

As for opening 2 orders, I would just stick to 1. +ve RR is all you need to be successful, keep it simple.

1. can i hedge it with two different instruments for example buying eurusd and selling gbpusd in expectation of usd news.. sorry if i draw you back but i am new to this thread

.2 is there any EA the can help to adjust the stop losses at some seconds before the news is released..

how do you handle the issue of slippage on the stop loss. do you experience it at all, and how do you control it. i find it difficult to handle. can you educate me on that

1. Yes it is possible to hedge using different pairs to trade on like that, just take into account eur/usd will have a different spread to gbp/usd as some pairs are more liquid than others and spreads do fluctuate.

2. Theres an expert advisor for just about everything out there somewhere, you would need to ask around for one that is going to meet your needs. Theres quite a lot of free ones on forums so you might be able to find one like that if you dig deep enough, otherwise there are places out there you can pay to have one made to fit exactly what you would like.

You chose the right pair. Most of them whipsawed today. USD/JPY didn't really whipsaw.
