{quote} Why?? If I don't have existing trade in the direction, why I can't trade with long if both green or shor if both are red?
Ignored
Because we discuss dimdel system here and all the rules are in the first his post.
You sure can trade when both candles are the same color but this will be your new system.

You can trade long if you have two consecutive green candles, or short if you have two consecutive red candles. It just won't be per the rules. You might want to run demos with the original strategy and your own version, to see which performs best.

Green/Red after two weeks. Flat with no floating trades for the weekend. Looking very solid, so far. {image}

{quote} Dear Dimdel, Thank you for sharing your thoughts with others. Some questions after read all thread: 1- you did n't mentioned what time zone you consider as daily candle open and close.
Ignored
New York 5 pm close daily candles give one true 24-hour session’s worth of data.

New York close candles open when the Sydney markets open and close when the New York financial market closes so one daily candle is a true representation of what happened during the official Forex session. It is the most logical time frame to base your trading decisions on.

NYC brokers give 5 daily candles per week, with no weekend / Sunday candles. This synchronizes your candlesticks with the real opening and closing times of the major financial markets around the world and does provide an edge.

All manual. The rules are very simple - anyone can trade this strategy. No need for an EA, especially when it's based on daily bars. Follow the rules and set your risk to no more than 2% per trade.

Indeed the rules are as simple as one can wish - If this works in the long run I will laugh out really loud about all the unnecessary reading, learning, analysis&stress I did in the past...^^

This is a daily system and the long run for such systems is at least 5 years, not 6 months. So to test it we need EA.

I've made one and sent it to dimdel. So when he check it and if it works according to the rules he maybe posts it here. And maybe not.

I have tested the system with several years of data, the results show ~50% in the long term.

It needs some filters.

You can call it fibs, but in fact its nothing more then percents, Fib 200 means 200% when SL=TP or RR 1/1, 140 fib is 40% of the way to TP.

Good - wanted to make sure it is based on percentage, because a hard TP based on pips isn't going to cut it.

ALL I care about is NOW - It is working for me and others right NOW. To Heck with backtest. They don't mean a darn thing. Remember this quote "Past performance is no guarantee of future results". That is a truism.
