Why is price going UP? I would think the most recent news event would cause a drop in this pair

after the talking heads came up with their Idea of a rate cut this week, alot was priced in, with no mention of easing whatsoever in report or press conference, it's got a little room to run to the upside

Even after the reversal from 0.7330 fueled NZDUSD towards 0.7400 mark, the channel resistance, near 0.7430, could restrict further up-move by the NZDUSD.

Once again does the trick of rebounding sharply from trend-line support.
Would now be prudent to see if managed to hold 0.7420 on daily candle to confirm a move towards 0.7550 resistance, 100-day SMA.
