Did you ever think that the AUD is a safe haven currency? The EU and USA are mired in diabolical debt. Greece is the poster child of this debt, but others are in worse debt. This might actually be a sign of things to soon come.

yeah, because USD and EUR being in debt in recent news....not.Aud is just as screwed we have our own housing bubble building down here, with low commodities and budgets in the red its not much better. Investing in Aud will only speed things up.

Safe haven? it's been going down for a year, iron ore prices have gone down dramatically, interest rate is at 2% lowest in years maybe decades?, US is looking to hike rates, Sydney housing prices are close to a bubble, it doesn't make sense that it goes up this much especially after a rate cut, RBA will intervene again, it hasn't stopped easing.

Who cares about iron ore? We're not just about iron ore. Our interest rates are still higher than US, UK, EU and that lot are getting into more and more trouble. US is looking to hike rates, but they haven't. To use their terminology, they've kicked the can on hiking rates. Meanwhile, $USD356 billion has left UK in the last 15 months.
