{quote} to great deal of mistrust. If a broker has even made a bankruptcy, it will happen again. Who would go, for example, back to Alpari? I do not.

I do agree that ETX is not good at CRM according to how it handles the case these days, but surely ETX is not Alpari, ETX is the company which buys the client list of the Alpari UK.
Maybe you want to say that you don't want your funds go back to UK?
I'll try New Zealand based broker too.

Btw, if I were the boss of ETX, I'd surely fire off the one who's responsible for the customer relationship between ETX and the ex-clients of Alpari UK.

People do not confuse us. This sentence: "FSCS does not have to have made a full recovery of its 50,000 before it starts paying its dividend recovery on to claimants." means that FSCS does not have to wait for divident payment from Alpari to start paying out compensation to claimants (us).

God damn it!
I'm not gonna analyzing these words anymore.
I as an algorithmic trader should only care about whether I need to fine tune or rewrite parts of the EAs.

Do you have any recommended NZ broker?
I think it's better to wait until end of May'15 to see what FSCS/KPMG/ETX are going to do rather than trying to guess what will happen. LOL.
Better spend time to look for a good broker while waiting.

ETX has full bodied spoken of credit. Nothing happened so far. which makes ETX implausible.

I'm just wondering why fscs doesn't issue an official day date about compensation refund. It's weird.

I don't think an official date will be given, probably just an announcement that they payments have started.

Why don't you talk to your source and re-confirm the date he gave to you?

I did and they stated "End of May" in an email, but I had a standard representative, I understad you had contact with some chief of something because of your "large" amount of money. I would use that leverage to confirm the dates if I were you bro.

Imagine my surprise today when i received a letter from CCI Legal that I owe money for an account with negative balance. I can hardly remember that I was a client of Alpari UK for a while, a long long time ago in 2009, when I was just trying different brokers' services. I do not have any statements from this account and my old e-mail, which I have used for correspondence with Alpari UK, has been deactivated years ago.

I thought after 6 years have passed, they cannot ask for a repayment. Is it a lot of money?

We are talking about less than 300 GBP. This case have nothing in common with CHF positions. My last activity with this broker was in early 2009. I was making experiments with different brokers and I think that I was trading with them only for a month. Maybe the reason for a negative balance was a late margin call, but I can not exactly remember and I do not have any statements left from this period. Alpari UK never asked me for these money.
