Good question!

My guess is that .78 will be given another workout, and then off to the races when RBA statement comes out Tuesday...

if they cut then the drop will be good but not extraordinary. If they don't after so much hyping, asx wil drop but aussie will enter a new era. Best chance to enter would be missed.

I think they will hold rates. RBA was worried about it getting above 80 but it's pulled back and staying. USD has steadied after the first quarter news that was weaker than expected that combined small rise in ore it's about the level it should be (up from the 75.xx lows). They can wait another month until they get a clearer direction on what is happening in regards to both of these points. AU budget is out soon and might help achieve what RBA is looking for.

Trade this news at your own peril, no doubt the big boys will look to screw over many with odd spikes before the pair picks a direction

wonder why the bank persistent with 0.25% change when 0.1% or 0.05% is what they need

They are trying to decrease the rates as much as possible before FED lifting the rates..

Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

Why would it spike in the wrong direction & then go the opposite direction?
If they cut, the AUD will go down, if they hold, the AUD will go up, there won't be any spike.

Recent rate decisions have been rigged, all u need do is wait 3 seconds to the news and u'll know what direction to trade, this is what happened the last time.

3 seconds to the news, the spreads are too wide, no point in trading.
