I am with oanda and from my experience i can tell that , yes, demo feed and live feed are different.

I am done for today and will look at the Unemployment Claims tomorrow, with that being said I only want to look at the bigger news.

Was going to check it out...got lazy. If you looked at gbp,nzd ....big move. Large gap on my chart...not sure about yours.

Hi All,

this was the last trading day in the week, and the last trading day in FXTM.
Here is a picture about FXTM.

All we can see, I got 175 pip slipage.

Slippage kills profitability of system. I also tested FXTM(1) and Tickmill(2):

Hi.
This is simple method.

1. You look at Forex Factory Calendar for major news.
2. You analyze it or not but make decision about direction of news (up, down)
3. 1 minute before news you open position in direction you've decided before.
4. You put Stoploss around 20 pips and Take profit 120 pips (or without TP)
5. Pray
6. Pray harder.
7. If you were wrong you lost 20 pips stoploss, if you were right you collect pips for next pipsolottery
8. Calming down. Heart rate slowing down to 200.
9. You wonder why you forgotten to put SL order. "Was that without SL or TP?".
10. You think "next time will be better" and you get experience.

you miss some points, like

After 1, befor the 2. --> 1.5 point : PRAY
After 2, before 3. --> PRAY

:-) :-) :-)

So Donquixote, we try to catch the direction and we open position before the news.
There are poeple how do it for expert (like me) , others do it with pending orders and others open and pray for the good direction.


Yesterday I withdraw my money , I left FXTM because of the slip and I opend an own account in LCG. I'll show the result on course in my trade explorer when the new acc will be ready. I hope today I can make the deposit and I hope, that I can catch the oil at 16:30. Good luck to all for the GBP news at 10:30!

Forex is like extremists religion.
You talk to it, you pray, you promise, you know better. Also have evil (banks, brokers) but we never hear anything back.
We have to believe that we all move market, that price will go into forex heaven which is 2000 pips away up.
In Tony's method of trading I feel like Blade (Wesley Snipes) hunting for vampire news-pips.

how do u predict what news?
i mean if it just buy / sell (by feeling or etc) and pray isnt it just like leaving this all to 'luck'?

sorry didnt mean to understimate ur method(ignore me if u offensed) i like trade on news too cuz news is like signal like there will be huge movement at the news start.

I look at previous releases and combine it with price movements years back. My winrate for last few months is 100%. Today i was first time wrong but had no much time to look at.

Hello Monterson!

I don't analize, I have an expert, what open opsitions befor the news, it open a long & short, put 10-12 pips SL to the positions.
IF the merket goes up, hit the sl of the sell position and I hold the long. If the market fall hit the sl of the long.
IF the sl hit, the expert take sl buy / sl sell order to tha place, where my other position is open. So I'm in hedge before of the news and i'm in hedge if the market oscillating in little range, but if it's go i earn.
I don't want to find the good direction, I want to find the volatility only.

I keep list of news and analyse them regularly.

Yes, I trade the big news, like NFP, GDP, ratecutting, employment change.
The next will be the AUD empl. ch at 3:30am in my local time.
