Also done (to FSCS).
In my case, though my bank details have not change since I opened the account, they still asked to upload a bank document for the account...
I suppose it's because I've asked before to correct the name (my first name appears twice), which, by the way, they haven't until now.

" ... The Joint Special Administrators understand that the FSCS will be making compensation payments by bank transfer in United States dollars ..."

What does that mean? Are they assuming this, or is it a fact, that FSCS will pay out in USD?

It's important for me to know to chose proper bank account ...

P.S: Etx hasn't bothered to answer my E-Mail inquiry for about a week now. Seems all they do is send autmated mass e-mail.

I think they made a severe mistake in buying the client list. They should instead have made an offer here and on other forums to Ex Alpari clients - like for instance offering to cover (some of) the losses incurred due to forced trades closure by Alpari ...
That would have been an offer worthwhile to talk about and sure would have made more traders go with ETX ....

Okay...
Anyone can tell me whether ETX Capital is worth trying?
I'm neither doing scalping nor news breakout trading.
I've checked that they've a bit not too good spreads. Are their network connections stable even around busy time? Are their support responsive?

I believe many of us will continue to use the same money to trade later.
If we're given option to transfer the funds to brokers we want, that'd be perfect. lol
Wire transfer from UK and wire transfer to UK again back and forth seem to be troublesome.

Yes, I'm using my bank account with my name.
But wire transfer from UK costs a few days, and wire transfer to UK costs another few days.
Filling information for wire transfer is another thing needed to take seriously too, I really rarely do it and I only withdraw in normal days...

Another thing I'm curious is that... Is actually the client lists worth that much money so that ETX spent for this?

Also, you're talking about "desired broker"...
Sadly to say, the most desired broker before that particular date in my mind is Alpari. Now I've no preference really.
All brokers I tried have this or that problems. lol

I agree.
The tax man will be very happy with all this money going into bank accounts.
There could be a smart way to use the process to avoid paying the taxman twice!
