Well said totally agree with this. I code for a living . The timescale they have taken takes the piss out of us all. The database was there already. For them to use. It's all bullshit. Tbh it has put me off trading for good

yes. and each trading account must be verified. this can only manually. So checking of accounts 100000 is a trifle. in which movie are you traveling? Do you dream?

It's an automated process: they use software to read the Alpari database. There's absolutely no reason to manually check each account. The computer does the job.... I can do it in 2 minutes with my old P4 laptop, and for free.

Verified? They have logs of everything and once you open an account you need to give proof of your identity. It's just a huge scam and they screwed us big time. A class action should be made and we should claim not only our money back but also all the damage caused by such a irresponsible behavior.
This task, as many have pointed out, can easily be automated and completed at most within a few days

However, KPMG have not gotten where they are today by doing things in the most cost effective way for the client.

Like I said before: they will string out the whole thing, whilst remaining within the framework of the law, for as long as possible to maximise their return

You really seems to be in photocell , we gave our IDs(All particulars) only for record of Alpari , where as they sold our IDs to recover there losses to third party.Actually that would had been our dividend .
People managing more number of accounts daily which KMPG handled in last three months .Nincompoop will act like that and people like you will keep a pace with them .

Out of 100k+ accounts, less then 10k was trading in December, ever fewer in January, even fewer on the 15th and 16th Jan.

My question is, why do you need to manually review accounts of people who had not traded for months prior to the CHF bomb? I mean, from KMPG point of view it makes perfect sense, but from common sense point of view???
FSCS , they want to cover their losses before covering people losses. If the law don't give them a time limit, they'll take forever....... maybe years !?!?

100,000? Only 6,863 active clients this month.

Alpari UK is/was a predominantly retail broker, with 116,000 clients of which 27,000 were active in the last 12 months, 22,000 active within the last six months and 12,000 active within the last month.

KPMG are a business whose sole aim is to maximise profit

As a comparison

I also have funds stuck with LQD Markets since January 27th
They had around 1500 clients, not 100,000 like Alpari
Around 600 were active, not 15,000 like Alpari

Have I got my money back? No.
Have I even been able to agree a claim? No.

Why? Because the JSA are still "reconciling the accounts...". Now do the math: 600 active clients means that even if they were to finish today they would have processed +/- 10 accounts per day. Even one person, working all alone and taking copious breaks cannot possibly take 11 weeks to complete this task

The takeaway? KPMG, by comparison, are motoring along like greased lightening
They are preparing ghosts or our money?
Tomorrow will be officially 3 months after the CHF shock and still NO substantial progress AT ALL except for pieces of news here and there. Not ready... reassurance...

Best we can hope for with current info is that FSCS will be first with a tranche possibly being sent/wired sometime in May

It is a deduction from previous posts in this thread where ETX (mainly) have suggested to former Alpari clients that payments can be expected in around 4 to 6 weeks time

However, the key word in my post is: "possibly" or in other words, don't hold your breath

FSCS will release an announcement about payment later this month...probably next week.
