yes thats correct, we are talking in scope of alpari KMPG transfer etc....
So guys can i ask something? So FSCS must wait total confirms about every account from kpmg before to issue any refund to us??

If yes kpmg said they will require a number of months for confirm all the remain accounts. So it will require more long than expected for have funds back from fscs?

Hi,

1-My friend opened buy EURCHF trade for 10 Lots On January,09,2015 .
He has negative Balance about 151,000 USD.
Both,we are not speaking english well.
I told him that ,he is excluded from negative balance according to alpari administration phrase"Those clients that had open CHF trades after 9:00 GMT on January 15 are excluded from negative Balance".
Any one can help and confirm whether he is resposible to conver or he is excluded from the negative Balance???

2- He still did not get email from alpari administration to confirm his balance?
What is the way to receive money through the FSCS? bank transfer or check?
Can I receive the money in Spain?
Is there commission if payment is through check?

I am very surprised.From what I have read they are finalising the closing prices.

I think they are just working out the closing prices for the chf trades and they will be trying to claim negative balances back.

The phrase doesn't say that at all... you are misunderstanding it.

The phrase is about account validation, and says:
"We are now in a position to contact the first tranche of clients with negative balances. This tranche should cover all clients with negative balances for whom the Joint Special Administrators have verified the available contact information but excludes clients that had open CHF trades after 09.00 GMT on Thursday 15 January 2015. "

This means that, on that date, they were ready to contact all clients with negative balance EXCEPT those with open CHF trades (because those would be treated later, they were not ready to do it yet).

It's pretty clear already that they will try to recover money from negative balance...
They even say in that same document that discounts will be offered to those who agree to pay fast.

Yes,he has to worry as the link you provided states that the people who were not involved in any trades on 15th and 16th are
already being sent letters to recover the negative balance.For those who had open trades on 15 th and16th they
are determining the balance.Unless your friend is very lucky and his stop loss was very tight and the alpari admin
honour that stop loss only then he has some hope or else he is looking at a letter with a very big negative balance.
In my case I just deposited money 1 day before this crash! Was not trading at all that day. I cant get my money still anyway ..
all this mess was caused by negative balances ..now if they knew that these could be claimed and obtained , would Alpari bankrupt ?

Kpmg has to close the insolvency trying to pay everyone and trying to get paied from everyone that owes money to Alpari .

If we claim money from FSCS that free some money in the segregated client pool , these money will be used to pay ( e.g.) some liquidity provider , also they got some millions from the owner of Alpary that bought the Intellectual Property, and they are getting money from Etx also , for the client database .
I don't think that they rely so much on the negative balances.
They are very hard to be claimed...for example, in italy Alpari was not regulated and AUTHORIZED , it was only offering services.

not likely. since many customers are not interested to pursue the effort if, for example, in the account 20 GBP. Rather, I think that will be paid in two installments. A interim payment and a final payment.

Yeah but i'm talking about confirming all the remaining acc from kpmg. not agreeing by users. I'm talking just about confirm from kpmg for these 15k accounts.

We haven't had a proper update in a long time from KPMG.

I think KPMG is too busy counting their fees they have made so far..........

It is not everyday that you have a change to play boss over a hundred million US Dollars.

The fees they are entitled to is just too much for them to keep track of.

I am sure they hired the services of Ernst & Young or maybe Deloitte just to manage the fees they plan to scoop on Alpari's bankrupt estate.

We will get our money once the fat cats are done eating...........
