The zero line on the indicator like Erasmau66 has on his chart. I also was only trading between 7 central and noon. By taking trades only on the corresponding side of O and only second entries it limited the number of trades taken, but the ratio was extremely good and I applied no management of the trade until 13 ticks. Now that was only a 30 day look back. The hard ones to decide on were when the indicator was rising and around 0. It's real easy to have a bias on a look back because you see the result.
well I went back threw this yr and what I found is taking 2nd pb on the below or above 0 line didn't matter if it was sloping or not. when I got up 13 I locked in 7 when I got up 15 I locked in 10 when I got up 18 I locked in 15. goal was to see if 40 ticks could be achieved consistently and it was almost no losers.
There was a nice quick 2 legged pullback on the downtrend too. Indicator was under 0 and headed down. It showed just one green dot, 2 legs and bingo 20 ticks

I know indy was going down when I looked at this year so far I was looking first for trend and that indy was over or under 0 line. if was above 0 I took second pb as long as the dot was red and visa versa. so really wasn't pay to much attention to the slope in this testing just above or below 0. since the macd is a divergence convergence tool I didn't think it would make that much of a difference since the market moves in waves and our target is not great

ok I think I understand what your saying . first a trend second indy over/under 0 third indy sloping take second pb as we get a dot am I right
