{quote} Hi Simon, have not taken a look at EA for some time, seemed unclear to me, consolidating after falling so much. But it seems like as in EU, some fresh demand just came in at the levels you pointed out. Nonetheless it is probably nothing more than a correction ... I am interested to wait what EA does around 1.40 If it just goes through, retracements to 1.50 are not totally off the table in my view. Otherwise why not short and hold?

It'll trigger MT4 popups and send an email if MT4's email properties are set up. If I can get it to cook dinner and wash dishes...

Dont mind the patterns, this being based solely on SUPPLY+DEMAND. USDJPY previous DEMAND turns SUPPLY area and then BACK again to new DEMAND area.

hiya ByTor, are you scalper right? what is your average TP in terms of pips? I was trying to catch the big moves, 60-90 pips of the days, but seems easies to catch 150-250 pips. I am seriusly thinking to become a scalper

Melly,

There is no average, really. It just depends on what the trade offers. To be honest, the number of pips you make is totally irrelevant, as it has to be in context with the number of pips you risk. If a trader makes 16 pips in a trade, but their stop loss was only 4 pips, that would make an 8% return based on a 2% risk. However, if another trader made 16 pips, but their risk was 32 pips, then they've actually risked 2% in order to gain 1%.

Time frames are totally meaningless. H4 moves in the same way as M5. The movements are the same, but are just on a smaller or larger scale in terms of how many pips of risk and reward are involved. This is also why compounding profits is the difference between becoming a millionaire, or just staying small time. You'll hear a lot of people tell you that you can't make money in the forex market unless you have a large account, but that's a total myth. A £2k account can be turned into £100k very quickly, so long as the profits are compounded.

Sorry... Went on a bit of a tangent there!

by_thor, I fully understand those concepts, I just wondering how the averages pips trading in m1, m5 tf as showing in your charts, when you was writting your replly i was analyzing GBPUSD m30 for instance, and will be nice to catch one of those moves showing in the picture, 85,120,270 pips. the larger move I could gain was 60pips, then al my trades in profits are between 10 to 30 pips or stopped at be trygin to be more greedy.

Like I said, there is no average, and really, there is no time frame. When I show a chart on M1, that doesn't make it an M1 trade. It just means that the information I was interested in (Usually compression) was only visible on M1.

When a trader at Deutsche Bank wants to drop £10 billion on the market, which time frame is he or she trading?

Just turned the charts on out of curiosity, and saw this. There was the same setup appearing on EUR/AUD, but I missed the pullback. The compression on EUR/AUd was actually nicer, hence why price is really dropping like a maniac now, but I am still happy to have got on board with EU.

UPDATE: The remainder was stopped at BE on EU.

Here is the setup I was referring to on EA. I expect this will run further than EU:

To be honest, I just looked at GJ, and I don't see any setups for how I trade. That doesn't mean there aren't any setups at all, it just means that I wouldn't enter anything at the moment, and I don't see anything forming.
