GBPAUD sitting at an important trend line. I'm not particularly interested to trade this on intra but want to keep some charts coming into this thread.

Am watching my usual pairs; EURAUD/GBPJPY for moves in either direction.

For me supply and demand is not a trading method. It's just a way of putting into words the up and down motion of price as it moves between buyers and sellers (kind of like a game of vertical ping-pong where price is the ball).

Therefore in the simplest terms, us traders need to identify where the buyers and sellers that can move price are most active and look to trade in harmony with them.

Chart clarity is there if we wish to see it. What I need to do is wake up an hour earlier to catch moves like this, but at my age I'm beginning to feel like I need more sleep.

Hi Neil,

Without sounding flippant - no reason whatsoever. I'd been trying to watch lots of pairs without any success and therefore started removing them from my screens one-by-one until such time as I had a number that I felt I could manage. In the end that number happened to be two and it was the only two pairs remaining - EURAUD and GBPJPY.

Hi Ben,

I like your second chart (Point 3) terminology "Break of the (swing) low" because for me this is the most significant (and simple) procedure where vertical up and down price is concerned. "Flag Limit" etc is something I find a bit confusing to be honest.

If you think about the move that initiated the break of the swing low (for me, that move starts at the supply zone that you've marked up at Point 5) then this was effectively the "Decision Point". Once that particular supply zone has set up we're in receipt of the first part of our signal and now it's a matter of being patient to see if and how the market reacts on a retest.

I seem to have finally found my feet with how to draw these flag limits. For me, I use them as a way of filtering the good engulfs from the bad, as the pattern I drew up on the GA chart has previously caught me out when I've taken it in the middle of nowhere.

And another example of why I'm not a millionaire yet:

Guys,

Here is a very good reason why psychology plays the biggest part in this fight. I recognise that I have all the tools to successfully trade the market. I still have the odd loser, but I finally find myself picking out a more winners than ever before, and all by following the same old approach. HOWEVER, it is my fear of entering the market that is holding me back. Today, I have ducked out of three trades that would have offered a decent R:R, simply because I was scared and found reasons to talk myself out of entering. Here is another on UJ:
