Hey, good to have someone else along for the ride

So this is not a valid Gartley and here is why (from what I can tell on your chart as it is a little hard to read).

1. Your fib line on the XA leg is not taking into account the bottom of the candle spike (the bull candle third in). This may mean that point B does not quite reach the 61.8% which would invalidate.
2. C should then be in the golden zone of the AB leg (61.8-78.6) but it retraces nearly 100% of that leg.

Have you gone through all the thread yet?

It will take time to spot things but try to keep things simple. Look for order flow and structure and some ABCD patterns, that is all I use now. Then once you are good with those you can start to look for other patterns if you wanted to.

Thought I would just comment on my week, although may just be talking to myself

I know Mr Pip wanted people to post how they had been doing at the start of the year as a form of motivation so here is mine, a little late lol!!

My targets are quite low and I have gone from last week and prior to that losing money to not only my first green week but every day was green pips!!

I went back to basics, went over some videos, focused on order flow, structure and simple ABCD patterns and here are my results for the week.

Monday +6 pips
Tuesday +21 pips
Wednesday +13 pips
Thursday + 21 pips
Friday +38 pips

Total +99 pips

My target is 20 pips a day with 100 for the week (I know some do this in a day!) so I am nearly bang on (if I had of known I would have moved my SL a little on my last trade lol).

I encourage people to post charts, questions, successful trades, live trades, just anything that will help move this thread on as I bet Mr Pip is itching to get back here

Anyway that is me for the week, hope you all have a great weekend and a green week next week.

Congratulations, 20 Pips a day is a great goal, and really profitable.

Thanks for the comment/advice, really appreciate it...I lost some on that trade ... I've gone through most of the stuff in the threads, but I will go through it again. Cheers and have a nice trading week ahead....

Congratulation! In my humble opinion 20 pips a day is a good achievement...perhaps you could share your experience on how to achieve such goals...thanks PipTrendz...

glad to see you hitting the nail firmly on the head.

One question for you or anyone else, you say that you focussed on ABCD patterns, was that an entry on the completion of the pattern or an aggressive c entry at a fibbo level?

Whenever i get in with an agressive c I often take profits fairly quickly in anticipation of a reversal into a gartley type formation (61.8 retrace of the cb Leg)

If you are entering at the c point can you give your ideas for setting a target at a full AB = CD or not

TP is less than 10 pips so I will be watching the OF up to decide whether or not to extend the TP (purely dynamic at this stage)
