Thanks. it was a Pending order set below the trend line. I trade usdcad alot and it tends fall quick after a steep rise.

Hey guys,

Ive been trading the TMS 4h method for a while, having some good success but as a fulltime worker and my time zone its hard to catch the good opportunities, so ive been looking at the shorter timeframes for a while..

My only question is;

Are there any differences in the method? Or is just the same but lower time frame?
When doing the top down analysis approach do we use the h1 h4 and dailt rather than the wk and mn?

Hi H,
We do similar steps like checking next TFs (M15, H1 H4, D1) to see if they are at overbought/oversold (68/32 levels), look left for PA, checking S/R nearby, apbs big/small,... divergence, HL LL, HL HH,....(basic PA things)

Ah ok, so pretty much same method just dropping things down a timeframe.I might give it a shot over the next week see how i go .

First time trade NU as spotted divergence bounced off weekly s/r around Tokyo Open, turned PC off a few hours ...., finally got PT filled both NU EN

Haven't been on in awhile. My trades haven't been the greatest the past few weeks. But I'm in NU Short. At the moment.

NU has a daily ATR(7) of just over 50 pips... hardly worth the effort if you figure capturing 50% of the ATR(7) to be "good". You're looking at 25 pips.

Just my 0.02 cents.

spotted on SK, as long as traders are aware of ADR of the pair they trade and have a realistic PTs, green pips are always beautiful regardless of size. Thanks for bringing it up

Good thing to trade low ADR pairs is SL is also small. Also, pip value in deposit currency should be considered i think.....

Your trades are really easy to understand and inspiring me....

Great, you can find easily where are pips. I remember NU is not in your watch list , so how did you notice. Have you entered by pending order or market order.

I am seeing you are trading all three session . how it is possible ?

Yea Had to take a break from the fast movers. Though I love them but I made a few mistakes that cost me a few grand... PLaying with the little guys for a bit until I get 100% confidence again and learning to take profits which seems to be my problem. Good setups, good profits....But I let them get away all the time.

I am normally at my desk around any open (Syd, Tok, Sing, FO, LO, NYO) I did not see any thing this morning (SYD/TOK), NU and EN were spotted for fx as you know I like divergence set up. I entered at market ( I use pending orders for gold and oil more often), I was late for entries (4th APB) so they were not perfect as you see but price wise were still good and setup still there... (my excuse to get in a good set up ) I was not that keen to watch so I turned my PC off.
I don't think I have anything on my watch list beside GA EA and since there was a big move from last 24hrs and AU red news was coming, so I decided to stay away from them...
By the way, GN did move faster and better pips but I did not see divergence so I chose EN.
I m thinking of putting back 5EMA on my chart for newbies to see it clearer, as I noticed some traders spotted divergence but very weak (size of APB small, etc). what's your thoughts?
I found it better without it as you see my entries are kinda clear with good apb, sometimes I was not patient to wait for HL LH after divergence and ended up have to bear with retraced....
Tips of the day: I use TDI and PA for entries, but need indies like stoc, 10ema to stay in longer....I still need to improve this area as I am still not good at it.

yupp, building confidence is the job only you can help yourself.
I learnt from GS for taking profits and started cutting my loses as I said to myself I can always re enter if PA avail...letting profit running like OS is still a challenge for me right now since I am not comfortable to leave my trade overnight. I will grow my confidence soon...
