Thank you. So, thats what makes it tick, basically. And it explains why it closes all trades in a trend in a single point. Interesting indeed.

Again, in simple terms, if you are trading long and short at the same time, why not just open two 1.0 grids, one going long and one going short, instead of having the one 1.1 following community, and one in reverse? Is it an issue of finding when the trends change to close the open orders?

I believe you start CE 1.1 first and trade it over CE 1.0 since it has an edge (Community Trend Detection). it is only when it is wrong when you load up CE 1.0 to trade against it to profit while it's in DD.

You can absolutely just use CE 1.0 for hedge against each other.

I wasn't trolling you brother. I was just giving you some advice before someone else get's to you with the same comment. Maybe you are not familiar with threads and forum posting but it is good etiquette to first read the thread and use the search feature for questions you wish to ask. But maybe it was my bad to assume you knew that. Trust me, when you've answered the same questions 20 or 30 times, and someone new comes to the thread and asks again, it gets old. Ver 1.0 has a max trade limitation on it which I mentioned earlier will be a problem in tight grid settings.

You need a magic number to get 1.0 to hedge on the same pair. If I'm wrong on this please send a screenshot with targets in both directions using only 1.0

Support for 1.0 has also ended so this must be considered. I would not go live using 1.0 for these reasons.

I will test the ideas though and collect information on what I observe, scrutinize the idea and develop a management plan.

This is my thinking.

We must all show and prove to ourselves.

I also read read read... Qfish is right and exact to tell you what he did because it is a frustration to continually answer the same questions. Many threads I see people get thrashed for this so take it with a grain of salt and heed the advice.

Hello, everything was fine but when i see the "Current Trend" change to DOWN... i open the cart 1.0 version and put Only Long. And now says error or something like that. What its that? Thank you.

Yes this happens. Don't quite know the origin. It will pass in time and start taking longs.

Target prices is calculated like this: breakeven + your TP set in EA in my case TP is 10.

Since yesterday everything was fine, but now I am in deep DD, which is -20% from equity.

Thanks for the honest reply. Good luck, you may need it. Hopefully not. Demo testing a strategy etc is a joke. Demo platform were designed for new trader to become familiar with the PLATFORM, not to test strategy. As you found out. Build it to live market conditions, even if that's a micro/nano account. Live markets are much different than demo markets. OMG.

I forward test usually 3 + months before even thinking of going live

We all have our method and reasonings.

And if you have read anything I said you will know that I mentioned some problems with the EA 1.0 as is.

If you are serious you risk no real money until you can answer all your own questions about the EA and trade/risk management plan to yourself clearly.

Trading a live micro has something to teach as well but again thats after 3 month demo. Letting an EA take you into a margin call is a lesson. Learn from it...
