I decided to start my own thread where I will be expressing my views on the Euro. I've been practicing Elliott Wave for about a year and a half and have become quite proficient in my analysis. I look forward to maintaining this journal and welcome any comments or questions, I only ask that you refrain from: (1) Making requests for a specific forecast. (2) Posting your views on the market.

Thanks for the interest. I will not be posting my trades in advance nor will I be giving trade recommendations. Just expressing my views on the current market conditions. It's very difficult to predict turning points in advance. I'll only place orders moments before the market reaches my expected pivot point. From my last post one would surmise that I favor buying dips with a possible target of 1.2930, that's the type of information that one could use to look for their own set ups. The only exception will be when I post my opinion on what the move will be before a news announcement. Last Friday I would have posted that the move is up for the NFP about 30 min before the release.

I wouldn't do that because I understand there is alway more than one count. There is no incorrect count untill the price makes its move.
That is a big key to successfully doing wave analisys. We tend to lean hard to one view and don't accept when it takes another route.

But no matter, it is good to have other wave opinions. I have gotten my dad to study waves even though he has no intrest in trading. He gives me a totaly unbias count to compair mine too. We don't always see eye to eye.

It looks like my initial analysis was correct but I was deceived by an alternate. Will be looking to short 1.2885 - 1.2895

OK it looks like I will be posting my views in advance. I just didn't know how I was going to do this when I was asked. Sorry if I was a little stern/snotty in my previous response Kahled. And post #2 is more of a medium term forecast.

Hi WaveMaster. Would you mind letting us know your current wave analysis. I'm a novice at EW and my analysis is that on the daily charts the move down from 1.3660-1.1600 was Wave 1 and we are now finishing Wave 2. My problem is - I have no alternate count. Any and all help appreciated.
