snakeforce - repaints with the best of them like "solar wind" indicator.

You are using HA indicator which does not show the real price action. So, we cannot say if the price really hit the upper/lower bands of the TMA indicator...

Good point - any HA candlestick that does not represent the EXACT price range is junk imo - not workable for a credible trading method.

Hi Al,
The extreme channels Fast TMA line indicator (settings of 2 and 3.4), as revised by Trainman, do appear to be a non repainting indicator and that is mega useful.
I've not tried it on any timeframe charts (only Renko) but is is showing extraordinary accuracy in combination with HMA and stochastics.

Most all "FastMALine" indicators do REPAINT so be aware of that. You will have to "google" search for "NON REPAINTING TMA" if you want to find a "fixed plot" TMA channel. I have used these indicators for years and built my own versions to meet my own system needs...I know these indicators well.

Thanks, the one I posed appeared to work correctly even after I refreshed the chart (on Renko) but that said I know little of TMA's.

2George: As much as they are criticized, TMAs should be good for the immediate time frame but on older candles they will reposition themselves thus the criticism. I like to use them for upper/lower resistance/support while in mostly consolidating mode and the colored center line set at .25 when trending but I don't have it on all my charts ... just a nice reference when I need it. Much about it in the internet especially by mladen if interested.

Asaens, I completely agree.
I have BB Flashback video'd the Renko charts of both the EU and the Dow. It gives a very good indication of where to exit as well as where to enter.
If I knew how, I would post the video taken today, and whilst it does 'move/repaint' it is a HUGE benefit to day traders combined with other indicators.

I am reading this thread from beginning and plan to go though the movements and phases ofthe development of the final system ,

However since the intermediate indicators were updated and later deleted , there are no versions available ...

I like this TMA with center line coloured , Can some one post it if it is still availalble , it is visually appealling and easy to track multiple pairs..

and Yes i am aware of repainting issue and not worried about that.

Hello everyone,
I also read this thread and I would try to follow this method.
But I need a help: the graph does not appear bands top and bottom as well as the central one.
indeed MT4 does not allow me to enter the chart that I enclose the file TMA.
it may be that the latest build of MT4 does not read the file as old?

thanks in advance to those who can help me.

newmoon1 remove tma.mq4 file from indicator folder and instead use the attached tma.ex4 compiled from old version. You may get the graph.

I would have another problem to solve.
I attach the file (Simeon Semenych) is not read by MT4, probably because it dated. some of you can make it work?

Dear Double H ,

Sorry for the delay , I just finished up covering the entire thread.

I was looking for the TMA band with colour of Central line ,.. and got it from this link

This was used as part of testing phase , the systems final templates and indi's as deemed fit by Al is in the First post.

Oh it repaints allright (one you fix the pre-675 build errors and get it to compile)

I've tested it live now for the best part of a month and whilst I have adapted to 3 settings (2.1, 3.4 and 5.5) of FastTMA setting 55 (all Fibos) I can only tell you what I see and that the movement (repainting) is minimal and is an excellent indicator.
I don't know how it works or what it is based on, but it works well.
