If you don't mind me asking, why didn't you close on the bounce to 119.75? If BOJ is serious about cutting their bond purchases and they announce officially, we can fall a lot further.
The problem with the current plan they've had in place is BOJ has cornered the JGB market and the purchases have had a diminishing inflationary effect, so they have to change what they're doing.
Kuroda has stated that the 110-120 range is optimal valuation for the Yen. When it goes higher it hurts small medium size businesses that are reliant on imports, and if it drops lower it feeds a deflationary cycle, so they probably will try to maintain a corridor in this area.
We need to see what's next, it could be a combination rate cut and QE cut together. Similar to what the SNB did.
