OK going nicely take profit set just below yesterdays high.... I'm back to work so lets see how this plays out??

Hard to hold as every time you think its coming back but if it fails this next drive I've just gotta bank and be done with it....

Didn't quite get my TP but with yesterdays high looming thought it better to bank my 118 pips. If I get a chance I will look to trade the break and retest of yesterdays high....

Well it worked this time to hold when GBP strength across the board , even though it was a post news trade, well post Carney speech I guess but thats exactly what this is all about watch for the strongest trends no matter what the reason and jump on board asap...

Very quickly as I really must get some work done today. How I would love to do this all day....

Anyway just checking out our TTindy and its completely dominated by the 7 GBP pairs even got a rare visit from EURGBP, bless.

Now we like to trade with this sort of dominance but we have to be careful for a couple of reasons.

1) Its not the best time of day and as Mr V. regularly comments we can expect a pre-NYO move against the LO trend.

2) All the GBPpairs have done thier ADR plus a bit more so is it reasonable to expect more???

3) The GBP pairs are now pulling back quite hard and actually trending down so we need to wait for an uptrend to develop if the strong move up is to continue.

4) having made some good pips this morning and catching a couple of good moves from the session , we would surely be pushing our luck to expect anymore.

All in all a sit on your hands time and wait for NYO to get into full flow and see what develops. Look out for the GBP pairs to pullback early on but as soon as they turn back up, well worth a look. Again as Mr V. says quite often NYO will give us a false counter LO move then resume back with the days main trend.

All in all a good mornings session now lets see what the afternoon produces...

Everythings settled down a bit now with JPY strength across the board so took this GBPJPY short, not really a pullback more like selling the top of a range but with the JPY strength 7JPY pairs in top 8 thought its worth a shot.

Well its got away ok at BE now so lets see where this goes with JPY strength across the board looking to hold and maybe add if it goes my way...

30 pips up now but very aware of that 183.000 level looming but I'm keen to hold with this JPY strength...

banked 33 pips didn't trust that 183,00 level too big a spike off of it last time we were here...Also JPY strength fading seems more like a GBPled move in the end ..

Looks like I should of left that GBPJPY as straight through 183.00 maybe catch the retest??

Never mind GBPCAD got my attention... CAD strength top 4...

Clive, thanks for your contribution into trading, but wanted to ask something.
Is there maybe a version of your's CCI indicator, where candle would be painted into different colour (not green or red), whenever candle crosses 100 or -100 levels?
I wish, I could code it my self, but I don't know a thing about scripting.

Can't help you my friend I'm no coder myself but I'v got a feeling theresa facility to do just that on this CCI indy. Try going into the colours and changing them I'msure there was a signal candle colour at one time but I changed the input to take it off.

All i can suggest is play around with it a bit...

Loving your thread, your money management and your aversion to risk are solid, break even beats a loss any day.
Looking at the Gbp/Cad I would say that you would have been stopped out at Break Even. No matter with your previous winners bringing in the bacon.

With your permission I would like to post a chart showing my take on the Gbp/Cad. as you know I don't trade the same way that you do, but I do trade ABCD and the 1min chart.

Hope your Job is going well and doesn't interfere to much with your real passion.

Right about GBPCAD just pipped me out before dropping nearly 50 pips, just the way it is....like you say BE beats a loss everyday in my book too...

That was easy.
The larger ribbon is based on the 200ema and the 600ema.
The smaller ribbon is the 12 and the 36ema
Zig zags are 12.36 and 72

basic blue for up red for down.when both ribbons agree and you have a valid abcd trade the crossing of the 36 ema by the 12 ema.

simple and effective
