Don't want this confused with entries where theres been a big run already in place, then in and out is fine. Its letting that first system trade run a little longer.

Hi Mr V if you do not mind me asking do you only trade 1 pair at any single time, I noticed today that around the time of the buy signal for the GBP/AUD the gnzd gcad and gjpy all came in as well so we might have taken seeing all the signals coming together as a green light of strength, then we could have had 3 more times 20/30 pips = 4 x 25pips =100

mr v could you remind us of your clive method with your few tweaks?I hear what your saying about exiting too early so if i can fully understand the extra you done ill try and help with suggestions for exits

To trade 3 pairs means scaling down lot size, so I'd rather focus on 1 pair. With the risk % I'm trading I'd only get 1.5 to max 2 trades in at any one time with the margin thats taken. I also do not think I'd be quick enough or good enough to get three trades on when they are going at roughly the same time. It takes enough focus to get 1 good trade on I certainly have no idea how people can get multiple trades when things are running at the same time.

Yes this is the age old dilemma of "Hold em or fold em" . In the past i have tried holding to only see my 10 to 20 pip winners turn into BE trades, however that was way back when we weren't identifying the overall strength of a currency. (Sorry thats me Mr V not your good self, as you've always looked for common strength/weakness across the TTindy.) Anyway my point is maybe now we're actively seeking out a single currency being strong/weak at market opening times then we can expect some bigger runs??

What I'm thinking is , if theres strength across the board then look to hold the trade on the 100lwma slope change..Maybe bank half hold half and just keep taking every signal and rinse and repeat banking half holding half so we build a nice position but bank as well just in case it doesn't run....Then close out all trades when 100lwma slope changes....

If we could develop this "hold and fold" strategy it would work in both rangy and trending pairs... Just a thought...

Thanks to our wonderful governments inability to keep the state power company organised over the last 20 years we have had one of our regular power cuts for the last 2 hours. Laptop battery about to call it quits so I'll post tomorrow. But it revolves around agreement across pairs (several recent posts should make that clear), first LO trade not necessarily top TT but I want it there (test or break and test of range), and if all looking really good don't have to have -100/_100 retrace.

Yep you've got me on the same track , almost essential to have that agreement or a pair that is head and shoulders above the others in trend strength, thats always worth a look , quite often caused by a high differential news release...

Now who's got the open mind???? great stuff dave and nice to see you're coming round to my theory. Its got to be trending very strongly to be worth trading and thats what the TTindy is all about and yes you're absolutely right it works on all timeframes.

Also remember that strong trenders help indicators to work efficiently, signals become 70% accurate if not better. Have a look at this top trending hrly pair GBPJPY...CCI signals look cool don't they and think about this, when the CCI signals on the hrly drop down to the 1 min and take the next 100lwma turn up, every chance you could enter on a 10 pip stop and hold on your hrly trend... massive RR's...

- only buy above, sell below 100lwma
- clean initial AB move, small BC retrace (in relation to initial AB move, not happy when BC move almost comes back to A)

There I'm looking for initial clean AB move and support from other pairs. So minimum of say GBPAUD and EURAUD agreeing so likely AUD strong/weak, or say GBPAUD, GBPNZD, GBPJPY where GBP strong/weak. By agreeing, do they show price same above/below 100lwma, are they moving in same direction still, making HL/LH's, are they in top 8 TT. This is still likely as even if TT numbers are much smaller than when pairs are running hard the chances are at the start of move most pairs are drifting, The pair thats given a clean AB move to opposite side to test range will most likely be high on TT.

CAD strength across the board 4 out of 8 , nice pullback to key level so has to be done. Only problem a little bit late to party, but its got 2 chances now...

Thanks but I'm afraid I was in orphan mode today having taken 10 out of GBPJPY earlier I decided to take another 10 here. Shame as its gone 60 plus pips up at one stage had I of held...

I'm thinking when we have this strength or weakness across the board that we should move to hold mode and see what we get... Difficult though as it was after a fair run already so what do you do???

Definitely think the across the board trades should get a little more space than 10 pips. But isn't it nice that your concern is the size of the win and not from a few months back what the loss was!!! You remember those days!!!

Right lets see if we can grow some balls here...

GBP strength right across the board so I'm gonna hold and see what I can scrape out of it. Its cost me a bit to get in here but hopefully it will turn out to the good...
