hey pepe do you have any rule about how you set your stops? I did a few trades last week but I'm finding hard to set the SL... I have tried only trend lines now on the DAX 3pt chart, looking the 5 and 7 pt charts and trying to enter only on the main trend... if I set the SL too tight I got stoped all the time, and could find a good r/r yet... any tip about how to set the SL? And I also think I need some indicator because only trend lines is kind of random... sometimes the support/resistance lines gives the perfect entry and sometimes it's a breakout...
I don't have the dax chart right now so i tried to make a template for dow jones rb3. The main trend ma lines are those red and blue and they are calculated from rb 9 chart. The other ma lines are calculated from the main chart, rb 3. The position of stop loss is pretty simple. Usually i put the stop loss near the last recent and significant swing point. If i am in good profit already banked for the day, sometimes i am a bit less rigorous with the stop loss.
Regarding the indicator, it is the stepma averages and you should have it, if not send me a pm. Hope it helps.

Hi, this is the first time i'm posting in this thread. i thank you for all the various sharing about range bars and methods. I used to analyze the markets with range bars, before I took a break due to a string of losses. Recently, I'm back using the range bar method after incorporating it into some new understanding and learning. I dont have a perfect entry/exit system, and have yet to test it fully. I hope you guys don't mind me sharing my methods in the future. Hope to learn more from you guys!

if you need some advice on the strategy you just have to ask.
This is an example of how to create a very robust strategy, it produces some losses of course but it is profitable. Always try to go on the right side of the market...
as you can see from the images, there is always the chance to gnaw some tick...
