DislikedJust an update with my Ninjatrader usage past months. The new NT8 is FANTASTIC and I am converting all of my automated systems over from NT7 to NT8 at this time. I have completely stopped using the degrading MT4 platform and I am DONE with MT4 for good! Ninjatrader is just the king right now and they should be adding foreign Forex broker clearing in the months ahead (so US customers can trade Forex without using junk US rules). As far as reliability goes - second to none! I run NT on 4 different computers (1 laptop and 3 pc's) and I trade FX, CL,...Ignored
DislikedNinja Trader is a fine software but ONLY for charting and backtesting. It has a large warehouse of indicators and has a very fast and intuitive backtesting facility that is easy to use. Its charting is pleasant to look at with its easily customizable colors and formats. But this is where the advantage of Ninja trader stops. It is EXTREMELY HORRIBLE and UNRELIABLE as a trading platform especially for the high cost it charges. Its server is EXTREMELY slow in that it has high latency between the execution of program codes and the actual execution of...Ignored
Disliked{quote} I quite agree with all the above. Ninja is certainly not the greatest thing since sliced bread. The connection is forever going down. some times for just a few seconds other times many minutes. Part of the trouble is Rithmic itself. Very unstable. And don't tell me it's my Poota or connection. ALL other platforms running at the same time including 3 MT4s & Sierra & the only one with connection problems. Yup Ninja. Bought & paid for it 14yrs ago & wish to this day i hadn't. Anyone wanna buy it for 1/2 price,???? PS: Re: slow loading. If you...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Bankrobber, LEAVE!!!!! Nobody wants your pathetic useless third-grade indicators here!!! Take your snake oil business elsewhere!!! And thanks for telling us that Ninja Trader crashes too on top of other problems. At least when I was using it, it actually didn't crash on me that much except maybe only once. LOL NOW GET OUT OF HERE!!!Ignored
Disliked{quote} You mentioned that multiple SSD drives helps you trading. how does that work?I just bought and i7 4 gigahertz gaming computer in order to make things run smoothly On ninjatrader with a strategy that I am creating.Do you think that I can have 4 monitors running at once in order to view 4 different charts or will that slow ninjatrader down?I just wanted to make sure that my data feed is not slowed down and that the data displayed on my screens is not slowed down. I have an Nvidia card pre-installed in the computer that I bought. Thanks a million...Ignored
Disliked{quote} I have never used SSD drives on my computer. It might've been something that was mentioned by Bankrobber who was actually an indicator salesman that was affliated with Ninja Trader. He got labelled as "Commercial Member" on FF subsequently. He saw himself exposed and just disappeared from FF and never posted here ever since. Anyway, in terms of Ninja Trader slowness, I feel it has more to do with the Ninja Trader servers and the way it chooses to run C# and not really with your personal computer's per se. As long as your computer has ample...Ignored
