I have an impression that a lot of people here do not understand either that Alpari UK is insolvent or what insolvency mean. Company is insolvent is when it cannot pay what it owes. If Alpari was able to pay to you it would not be insolvent in the first place. The whole thing has happened exactly because Alpari DOES NOT have enough money. In a situation like this the company goes to court for protection from creditors. The judge sets such protection, freezes the assets and appoints administrator to establish the sate of company finances. KPMG is...

This is now bigger then Alpari failure man. We all know what insolvency is and its due process. We know money is segregated and will, eventually return. But think:

1) It is clear that FCA regulated Broker made lots of traders feel safe and park a lot of capital with Alpari.

2) As we see now, a FALSE sense of safety and protection.

3) For a trader, this is same as a lie, this hole thing induced lots of trader to misjudge, induced us into error.

4) For a full time trader to be deprived from his capital, even for one day, it is the same as take away a farmers land.

5) Brokers provide a service to traders to access the market, and get paid well for that services.

6) Clients can burn their own account if they trade bad and there is no one to blame but their own, and they pay for their losses.

7) Brokers can go broke all right, but the reasons for that, some are acceptable and some are not.
7.1) If a broker have POOR RISK MANAGEMENT - not acceptable at all in a regulated environment.
7.2) If a broker have exposure positions of their own - not acceptable at all.
7.3) If it has poor capital - not acceptable in a regulated environment.

8) We don't claim for a regulated market, but since you (Govern) regulate that establishes a premise on which we rely on.

9) If a country regulate a market then Govern is responsible for consequences of that regulation (poor regulation or supervision), therefore accountable for capital AND UNREALILIZED GAINS IF ANY WERE POSSIBLE.

10) If a Government does not want to be accountable for the regulation that they establish, then don't regulate, don't put strains to move money around in and out, JUST LEAVE THE MARKET FREE to move and EACH ONE OF US WILL KNOW HOW TO COVER OUR OWN ASSES.

11) Traders are the weakest link in the chain, and the ones that pay the most of the burden.

12) Traders are real persons, not accounts numbers, and have the same fundamental rights as any one else.

Let the market and society learn from this event and grow, this is 2015 and it is not the first time this is happening....

there will not be any claims against lost opportunities! If you were down on your position that was closed by Alpari , you were down. You will not be able to prove that you were going to hold on any longer. I would have made 100K plus on my open trade and will icertaimly not see any compensation.

well this is wrong..because i hold trades for a minumum of months and its a stragedy i have been developing for a while but i see the problem with this..but its still not fair because 3.6k for me is a big hit..the biggest i have incurred as a result of trading and not due to my mistakes but alpari.

my win rate is also very high..above 85%

Alpari UK client petition to Administrator KPMG for return of client funds
By LeapRate Staff on Friday, 02.06.15
http://leaprate.com/wp-content/uploa...on-200x146.png
It has been more than three weeks since the events of January 15, 2015, which turned the forex trading world on its head resulting in the bankruptcy of some brokers, most prominently Alpari UK.
Alpari UK remains in insolvency under administration of KPMG, which has spent most of the past three weeks attempting, unsuccessfully, to sell the company intact. Other than not giving clients much information, KPMG has stated that a proposal for clients will be out no later than March 16 – another five plus weeks away.
Is KPMG dragging the process out to maximize its own fees? Or is it under pressure to act in the best interests of trade creditors to Alpari UK, as opposed to former clients of Alpari UK, whose fund remain on hold at the company?
After receiving many requests, LeapRate is organizing a petition of (former) Alpari UK clients to be formally presented to Special Administrator KPMG, requesting that all client monies be returned directly to those clients as soon as possible.
If you are a former Alpari UK client then please complete the petition box at right. We will update the list of names below (keeping confidential any last names and of course email addresses provided), and we will provide the petition directly to Administrator KPMG.
(If you do not see the pop-up box at right to enter your name and email address, please clean your browser’s cache / delete browsing history, and then reload this page).

Can't believe the Chairman want's to acquire the Alpari UK brand name after this debacle, it's damaged goods as far as I'm concerned; and his talk of expansion while we sit here waiting for our money.... I'm lost for words

Since negative balance passed to Alpari UK and made it insolvency, and the positive balance still in the segregated fund,

It is very simple: I just want to withdraw my money for I have positive balance.

Seeking any excuse means wasting our time. In China there is a proverb "fish in troubled waters".

possible for leaprate to get an estimate of all our funds and pass it on to
another broker.
