Refer to my post on the "Geppy" thread. I made an analysis a few hours ago that I leaned towards this recent fall being unnatural and against the underlying bullish intraday trend.

In case you just don't want to read it, the simple version is that I expect a retest of yesterday's high at least. If we didn't have the Greek news right before NY session ended then I would have aimed for 180.20/00 as well. But with the recent fall, we may or may not get to that.

It'll hve to depend on what I see on the charts after I hit my initial target.

And if we return to 177.80, I'll just break even at worst, or close with profits locked in.
110 pips booked for me on GBP/USD. Starting to see the first signs of a reversal? GJ has a H&S pattern on the H1 but is that even possible? Maybe I'm not seeing it right. Anyway opened a short position here at 178.35. Will possibly scale into more shorts.

Hey, I was just reading through these threads and stumbled here....was gonna give a shout, but don't know if it's appropriate....I'm gonna upload a couple charts for you to look at....if you need more explanation I will be happy to show you...The GBP/JPY has been forming a bullish Pennant for 13 days....it will go downward in formation and break upwards (usually). The moving averages I use on the 4hr and daily are usually pretty accurate and they are both telling me it's ready to break out of the pennant. It took a ride up yesterday but bounced back down to catch it's breath! The 5 minute chart is forming a bull flag at this moment. The 5 turns into 15, 30 etc....so how long until it breaks could be a few hours...the trendline you see in the charts is the top of the daily pennant that has formed....I say when that little flag breaks, buy it on the first closed candle...one minute, 5 minute...up to you...but I am seeing very bullish right now. Hope this will help you!!!

I am with you.. right now I am starting with new longs.. opened a new long right now.. 178.14

(It could be too early I know but it's okay for now.. will watch and see how it goes..)

yeah I think it needed to retrace a bit still...I have some uncrossed ma's left but they are moving closer....I like to take the long trades that pay me!!! Good Luck!!!

Hate this last turmoil.. my trade is still active.. had a SL at 177.80 in my mind and wanted to close manually there if things get messy but it seems I could have a chance.. fire is still on.. all I hope we don't have a head and shoulder pattern on 1H.. because that's what I see right now

Eyeing long too,but need wait for further confirmation at 178.5 - 179 area. Too dangerous to open any position right now.gj mite b fillin up some gas before goes up.give her some time. 😜

It had to find a fight at the hrly 200 ema! It filled up on gas!!! Now to get through that support!
I temporarily closed with +12 pips at 178.26 (touch of 50 sma) and will wait for better price.. and actually the head and shoulders on 1H still bothers me..

And although we are above clouds on 1min.. the price on 5min chart is still below cloud.. I better wait..

On 30 min (as Krazydiamond mentioned earlier) we can see a clear descending wedge.. but just right out of its edge there is the 178.40/50 barrier.. I don't like that either.. so it's safe to wait till we see clear break above 178.60.. then I will reenter..

Reaction is better than Prediction
I will try to buy as soon as price comes back as deep as it gets.. 178.30 looks good.. till price comes back there I will just scalp on smaller timeframes like 1 and 5 minutes.. now we need to be careful of 178.80 level..

The wave 3 we are riding right now on 15 min. chart will probably end around 179.20... then I will close my longs.. and will wait till the C wave of the 4th wave ends around 178.60... and then I can go long again..
