Copper price is a good guide for direction of AUD, but keep in mind, Copper only represents 3% of Australia's exports, when you put that into Total GDP perspective its quite low (0.3% of GDP roughly), as opposed to Chile, which Copper represents close to 11% of their GDP.

I'm confident of more GBP/AUD upside if AUD/USD remains below 78.
The GBP/AUD trend is still bullish and can make huge moves with the right conditions.

AU is very tempting today with the daily timeframe giving a bullish harami signal, with also a small stochastic bullish divergence. The trend is bearish, but on the monthly the price just reached the SMA200 support, and that may give cause to a little -but monthly !- consolidation. And we are just under 78 psychological level. .. mmm I think I will go long on aq confirmed break out of 78.

Even if the ascending trend channel continue supporting the pair's up-move, resistance line of the channel can cause a pullback into the AUDUSD prices.

This bearish flag would takes us all the way down to target zone 0.7580-0.7600 from its current 38.2% level.
If AUD decide to cut rate in 2 hours, AUDUSD would mostly likely have a lag down.

RBA also pointed out they wanted the AUDUSD to be at the 0.7500 and 0.7600 level which is also in line with this technical analysis.

From risk respective, although the odds of rate cut is pretty good this time, I still wouldn't recommend place position before the final statement tho.

Steven is a hawk, and that's obvious. If he holds the rate today, there is no knowing what would happen although long / mid term target is still bear.

In my option, if he does NOT cut the rate, your 70-pip stop order does't seem too safe to me. It's a good stop order if he gives a go on the rate cut today.
