Great stuff Yvon (as usual!)

Im loaded up long on the EurUsd at the moment, looking at the Dollar Index it looks set for a move to the 89sma in the 4h having broken the 21ema and pulled back. Looks like the could be a bit of a snap back in the Eur/Usd up to the 1.15412 level perhaps

Looking for break of 30 min and pull back to confirm it. I will also look to add to it there as well.

What's your view of this the moment?

150130EURUSD:

The pressure down is quite loaded ( on the monthly chart),
On the 4hres chart:
a pullback to the 89sma is possible since the pair is having a kind of a pause, making at the same time a almost flat 21 ema, so price could fluctuate both side( of the 21ema), maybe a move toward the 89sma is possible, don’t forget that all moving averages are pointing down.
From the monthly chart a large HS could be seen with a broken neckline! that was a support line for about 12 years, but now a resistance ...so be carefull.

still about the EURUSD:
On the monthly...

With a large HS on the monthly chart, So projection is way down…
Now look at the formations : there is a HS, then from the right shoulder it is a 3 sister’s formation! Well an HS already is a reversal formation, now imagine that formation nailed with a three sisters formation! ouff!!! Price went below with a speedy 985 pips! The pair broke the 12 years neckline as if there were no street lights!!
Well too bad I didn't heard that large expression shouting at me earlier!
Well that’s my view…

I NEED HELP


My two accounts with Alpari.Co.Uk has gone offline since the Swiss National Bank (SNB) announcement January 15/16. All my accounts has gone offline. I am not able to trade again since that happened. I pray that this problem is resolvable, and that they are able to resolve this situation as fast as possible.


I have started scanning brokers to start trading with a new broker. I have been trading with Alpari UK for more that 5years. I never even thought of testing any other broker. But now, I have to. So I am writing to seek for your assistance on a broker that is more fair to its clients. I do not really have anything against Alpari UK. For all the while I have been trading with them, I have been enjoying their strength and managing their weaknesses.


So please any help on this will be well appreciated.

Unlucky, for me and you! i used Alpari too.. i lost more with them trading than when they went bust !

We have to wait as they are covered by the FSC so we should get all your money back eventually.

The weird thing is went with Alpari because i thought they would be fair and safe....!

I have accounts with IG index but its a £1 per pip...so i only trade once per month with them..... cannot practice at that sort of money..

GKFX been with them for 3 or 4 years on mt4...never a problem so far..

Then i just joined lite forex for $200 as there mt4 trading account is in cents...so a pip is a US cent.... which means it takes longer to lose my money! instead of ten pence per pip with GKFX.

lite forex seems to be the way forward for learning with real money but not losing pounds fast if a 50 pip move goes against you...(this is good for any beginners reading here)

So to summarise... GKFX has been good for 3 years or more..... had requotes when price is going bonkers from say NFM and i'm trying to catch the fast move...but then that's just pure gambling not planning.... so i'm not bothered by that...never had a requote when trying to enter a normal order.

Thanks for your great insight. I consider your info as high class. I think I like the ECN method, I also read about them, I think yesterday. Lets keep all hope up. We are in for business, and by the grace of God no going back. Forward ever and backward never through divine grace.

Read at http://www.forexlive.com/?s=alpari+ what is the latest happenings with Alpari and other brokers. I know Ryan Littleston exbank trader who posts news at this site himself had an Alpari account so they are watching the developments closely. If you ever want to search the forexlive site for specific topics, look at the top menu and all the way to the right is a space to type in a word and search. Just type Alpari and it will bring up the latest posts.

If I were you I would be calling Alpari and closing the account and getting them to wire my funds to my bank account ASAP.

Many brokers went bankrupt because of what I consider a very irresponsible pop announcement by Swiss National Bank president Jordan causing swiss franc to surge in value some 2000 pips against the euro within an hour. He probably has someone secretly trading his own personal forex account and had them short eur/chf before the announcement. Which incidentally I bet all central bankers do. They know the power their words effect on the currency market

Larger brokers like Alpari are being bought out. I wouldn't wait to see what shakes out. Get your money back. And trade with another broker.

Of course yes, I am not wasting time to do that at all. I am not even waiting for Alpari.UK to refund my money before I start trading again. I am just having some challenge on the BROKER to connect to. I discover that the spread for my popular currencies are different for different brokers, and is higher than what AlpariUk offered me...I do not want to put my money in the wrong basket...for now, I dont just know which way to go as regards BROKER...this is just what is bothering me...hopefully I will be done with my search sooner than later

Of course you are smart to get your funds back. I feel your pain....back in 2005-6 when I was first starting out trading my broker Refco blew up and we lost everything. This is when there was no regulation so it was lost....had to start over again. Because of that experience I trade out of multiple accounts with different brokers because anything can happen. Also I trade my bigger account with an ecn and I don't care if the spreads are not that great as first of all I am American and we have limited choices in brokers and you will notice the bucket shops that gave incredible spreads are now bankrupt. So find the happy medium. I was with FinFx an awesome broker but they canceled Americans last week and transferred my account to Tallenex....so far they are okay. This has happened 4 times in the past 2 years. So be grateful you are not American.

On another note I appreciate everyone here who posts their trade set ups. I have traded Phillip Nell system for many many years but never seemed to be able to post....not sure why. So joined FF again in 2012 and still had trouble posting. This is the first time it lets me post. Anyway, I know I was lurking and getting confirmation on some trades I was looking at from time to time and thanks to all that post. I started out a news trader and am still primarily a fundamental trader and use Phillip Nell system as bench marks showing me how far the market could go for entries and exits. Love Love Love Phillip Nell. I wish everyone the best especially you NaustingFX while you work out broker problems. We have all been there.

Hi,
This forum is a bit quiet. And I have been away for some weeks from my trading table as I have matters to attend to.

I have some questions and hope to get help concerning the chart I have posted below. Here price is sitting just above 89sma and the 89sma is pointing downwards. (I know technically that means the market is bullish). And looks like a RT is about to form on MACD. Would you trade this (sell), if yes where is the entry level? Where 89sma is concern i.e. pointing downwards, is there any significance to this?

I feel for you. I certainly hope you will get your money back.

Even before the sudden surge in swissy dollar, I have always been thinking and asking myself - is it safe to park my money with any broker. But I have learned today that there is always some risk doing so. I just get a little more worried after reading your post. Question is, is there really a broker entirely reliable? How does one figure out which broker to choose?

I use to trade with IBFX but they have shut down and before doing so, they informed me and I got my money out. And since then I have been trading with Axitrader Australia. Actually, I don't know how reliable or safe Axitrader is but I chose them since of the the traders in this forum introduced them and I don't know many broker around.

Anyone has any idea, how to choose a broker in terms of reliability?

Here is a list of brokers from forexcrunch.com and their status after the eur/chf peg announcement was lifted. The ones that are forgiving negative balances or was business as usual probably are good brokers to trade with.
