Currently looking at a possible Gartley on EA.

Could be a Gartley within a Gartley, starting one swing on from my last post. Could also just be a ABCD from the original XA leg.

Followed by a small bounce in the upward direction back up to the weekly pivot which it is currently hugging..........

Question is where next?

EDIT: Patience and further analysis might lend us a clue...order flow is showing a downward bias at the moment..........
EDIT2: and now PA is happy to blast up higher..........so we should wait!

I think I am looking at one swing before you, perhaps on the 5 min would be comparison (during Asian session). I got knocked out of my D buy of the smaller leg right on the micro pip... it was a bad place and not where I wanted it. It wasn't a bad calculation just bad management..ffs my management again. I am expecting it to hit the first posted chart D swing then to turn for BO below to complete the hrly flag formation on the previous large bear candle. It has already broken the TL for further movement down, now is just bouncing from the level hit. Thanks for pivot I didn't see that.

The original AB leg is now nice confluence.

Looks like big orders just hitting the market, perhaps something fundament.

No problem at all!

I always try to keep a close eye on obstacles (that's what I like to call them) when it comes to navigating around a chart and treat them much the same way as a car driver treats a giveway sign....sometimes they slow down to take a look around and every so often you'll get one that just screams straight through...... so too with price...very similar!

UPDATE on the GBPJPY (H1) trade

Out at +30 pips (expected result when SL is tightened up that much but I'm ok with the trade)

I will consider going long GJ again if the analysis holds...........

Note: movement expected at either Frankfurt Open or better still at London Open!

We are best to wait for the market to show us its intentions (direction) as currently I do not see one.

Keep analysing and watching as it will happen......

Yeps no direction but shouldn't be long imo. It's as Mr Pip said, don't chase the market but wait for the market to come to you.

Hehe "give way sign" I like the analogy, it works well.

Edit: Franky time approaching though, imo one of the worst time of day to trade with false signals as they go stop hunting on a thinner market.

Yes it is dangerous for new traders and also some experienced traders who don't manage their trades but it can be traded!

Its the anticipation of repeating FF patterns and trading them correctly with good risk management.

If you have an idea of what to expect then it makes it a far easier proposition.

I'd suggest a lot of chart analysis and even then if you don't need to trade it (ie your trading time is not restricted to only 1 hour of the FF Open) then why not wait until the London Open.

Entered. A nice perfect hit of the AB extension with PA confirmation.

Light green horizontal dotted line for an aggressive entry. SL at above the 100% fib of XA (orange) 14 pips risk.

Yeps, it's just knowing what to look out for. It's often in the PA movement and you know they are onto you hehe.

A bit worried this trade may have too much structure to work through to get back onto the downside but still positive signs with a 1m H&S.

My progress so far. trading the EU today. GU has not been treating me good last couple of days.
Thoughts are on the chart.

I'm still struggling with the st order flow sorry. I'm still reading the thread slowly due to trying to absorb as much as I can and feel I have a ways to go on this front

Took +13. Was hoping for a longer term plan of another BO strategy to come to fruition but decided to exit on the second bounce off the support TL. A bit disappointing but will re-enter with my BO strategy if it is set up.

I am not a expert yet, still learning.
But this is how i understand longterm orderflow vs shortterm.
Longterm is the Swing high to low that has not been broken yet on the view i am trading of.
Shortterm is everything inbetween. See the chart. hope it is clear.

I alway like to trade with the shortterm ordeflow. together with your structure analysis and orderflow analysis it will give you enough trades a day on one pair.\

Purple line is LT ordeflow
Green line is ST orderflow

Cheers DeepakJ for the post and the chart.

The reason I like the larger charts is because I like to find confirmations of trades to give them a better chance. I find that difficult on the st charts because there isn't enough PA to go by. That said tbh I haven't put a lot of effort in trying to learn the shorter term O.F. as of yet because I am literally taking one page of the thread at a time and trying to absorb each mothod/skill Mr Pip has presented and on top of my normal trading, it is slow going

The last trade I made using what Mr Pip has taught exceeded expectations of finding a near perfect top and for TP levels though I didn't use the profit taking. It is why I am taking my time trying to learn it well as I can, I see proof of the potential of this system every day.

It's not the first time I have tried to let my profits run like the last trade and I need to adjust my way of thinking. I see a very good setup for my old system but it is yet to be confirmed and entering at the top is too much of a temptation to let it keep running to see if my old system will confirm. I need to separate the two systems and let them operate independently of each other. Further on down the track if/when I manage to master what Mr Pip has taught I may think about combining the systems.
