Have no idea how to get money back

Well, I do. For all I care you can take your sleeping bag and start camping in front of their or KPMG's office, call them all day or invest some money in the services of a spambot service to flood all known email adresses with useless crap. I just pointed out that this might not be a helpful strategy. I will act as soon as the client process starts. It hasn't yet.

If you are a client they have your data. Every extra communicaction leeds to the necessity to compare that data with possibly new one. They state explicitly that they will write the clients. There is a legal procedure in place, so they will try to do all this very thorough.

I'm reading this thread because I hope to read some stuff that's new concerning the insolvency. 90% is posting about the same generic emails with referral to the website or some stuff about other brokers... waste of time.

And what is the lesson from the fiasco? Never park the complete money in only one broker.

Has anyone found a better alternative to alpari? Preferably in UAE

I never contacted KPMG myself and I just received a mail from them where they acknowledge they know that I am an Alpari client and that the company owes me money.

So all of you should have that mail actually. Means: They are preparing a list of clients and amounts owed.
I assume that all will go automatic from here. As they have access to the databases of Alpari they have as well our account and will proceed just paying out from that list to the know accounts.

Check http://www.ads-securities.com/ haven't used it so no personal experience saw it on cnbc.

In the UAE? Who trusts because the sheikhs? I do not. But there are several alternatives. Preferably from the UK, Australia and New Zealand.

Must be NZ? I'm UK and GlobalPrime is [from due diligence efforts] totally customer focused.
One unsure about area: with Alpari, used to <=10ms ping, was naively thinking GlobalPrime ping would be approx same - duh! is (seen so far) 99..120ms and considering Sleep() can be called with single digit ms, this high ping delay has me concerned = am I fretting over nothing or have genuine reason to be uneasy?
(ok.. I must contact GlobalPrime and get their opinion and if anyone interested, I'll post what they say)
afaik, their servers (live/demo and VPS) are in N.Y. with only few ms delay so maybe I get their free VPS offer or even pay [out of profits;] if have to. Then can stop fretting = 1 less issue - lol

'13,'14 MT went build 600+ with total chaos for everyone. Like many I freaked out, started looking for broker that said still on pre-600 and landed at GlobalPrime. More fool me, should have jumped Alpari ship and boarded GlobalPrime then (been with Alpari from 2004 and got lazy...) Now.. only pennies available so gotta wait for this shambles to resolve.

However the upside is - besides getting down on self (dumb & massively self-destructive - but does happen) - I/all those waiting.. can review our FX strats,methods,code [if hacker] and have damn good focused review of FX existence and potentially make positive changes in all areas.
I want to grab this chance now to become better and not stay stuck in downwards spiral of despair. I'm 1yr off 70 with no funds and like many others, bills piling up...
I still believe my past can leverage my future and since still breathing... hey! how cool is that - lol, so I focus on NOW... just what can I do now to me and mine to reach that better now = future

Past is past. I sincerely ask all to cultivate positive attitude for 'their' health and well being and 'all' whom they call close (remember:you down = those close get down to, yes?)

Since the SNB hit the Forex market with its 1.20 floor scrapping, the industry faced a structural change. We want to discuss about the fact that many brokers intentionally or not trying to make the best out of the chaotic industry and attract media on them.The first broker which appeared on the front pages of the industry was FXCM, of course for their initially announced massive $225 million loss occurred in client losses. When the company saw that their stocks are free falling, they used Alpari UK as a media tool that “We might be troubled but we are still here” which was then declined by Alpari management.Following FXCM, Cyprus based market maker giant IronFX took the media by storm. They first covered that they made a hefty profit out of the Swiss franc “Black Swan” event, then announced they DFCA license and finally hit the media that we plan to take over Alpari UK and pull them out of the Special Joint Administration.Following IronFX we have the Australian rising star Pepperstone which claims to be in negotiation with Alpari to take over the company.As an aggressive industry, the Forex market generally would not have mercy to the falling competitors. Hence the actions demonstrated by FXCM, IronFX and Pepperstone are just yet another example of aggressive brokers that will do everything within their power to stay on the front pages of the media.

What can Alpari UK exposure coverage bring to IronFX and Pepperstone?

Both brokers claim to be in IPO stageBoth companies are striving to get into the Japanese and Middle East market (although Pepperstone pulled out of Japan as they could not sustain there)Both brokers want to attract a part of over 100,000 Alpari UK clientsIt seems that both companies have achieved their goals as almost every news site writes about rumors of either company being at the stage of finalizing a deal.

Which firm is likely to seal the deal?

We believe IronFX is more likely to seal the deal. Based on the information we have on our hands IronFX plans to increase its exposure in the UK, Japan and Middle East. These three regions were among the strongest regions of Alpari. Hence it makes perfect sense for IronFX to try their best to be the winners of this race.Based on the information we have received from an IronFX account manager in the UK, since yesterday IronFX CEO Mr. Kashiouris is in London busy with meeting with Alpari UK board of directors and the FCA’s special joint administration.

I am one of many waiting to be paid , am i just like another creditor.

Would I have to accept 10p in the pound as settlement.

same here pal.. but i am a graphic designer and i will in full time, and all i get is 1200$ per month..
i have told my parents about this before.. and i wont do it again unless i am in 100,000$ profit.. then they will accept it
so i advise you to do the same

I think this is bad advise..he is in a situation where forex will actually push him over the edge..my advice get your money and learn forex trading edge which will give u an option to make money statically, test it and make sure it works, then trade..u will see light

nobody make anything because of luck..u have to earn it!!!
