I do use the Hector strategy. Works well for me as I am a trend trader. You miss all retracement trades so you need to learn to wait for the trend setups

I have used it successfully on the 1h, 4h, 8h and daily timeframes. I am basing on the 4h at the moment and looking at the 8h as I dont like to be glued to the scren

By the way I made a small change in the system. If trading the 1h make sure the signal is to trade with the daily trend i.e I will not take a buy signal on the hourly if the daily trend is down but I will gladly take a sell signal

Nice tip What about other Hector strategy? U work with any of them?

Olu (and others)... the title of this thread really caught my attention because I'm a trend trader.

I buy/sell in the direction of the trend but wait for "alignment" from the next two higher trends.

Once I have alignment, I have another indicator that I wait for confirmation from that helps me enter the trade. But the real key is making sure the trends are aligned.

I've been trading this way for the past couple weeks, and it has been working well.

Excellent piece Geppy. I follow your input on the gbpjpy thread. I tend to trade the 4hr and daily because of work commitments and I always check out what the weekly is saying with the 4hr signals. I sometimes take signals on the this hector without checking the higher timeframes because the MAs are so huge that by the time you get a signal on the daily the pair has really picked a lasting direction.
