Drinking while thinking. EUR/NZD daily update. Go to the past to foresee the future. I placed a 225 degree angle off the high on 9-29-14, then placed a vertical line off the time line of the low on 9-05-14. And where the two intersect at is the line of interest to short at. Then I placed a 45 and 315 degree angle off the low on 9-05-14. And where those angles intersect with the time line off the high on 9-29-14 shows me areas of interest to short at, sometime in the future. Then I placed a time line on the most recent high on 12-10-14 and where it intersects with the 315 degree angle. The 1.4570 area has my interest for now. Enough thinking, back to drinking.

So you think parity in the next few weeks? That's what my chart tells me. I'm waiting for a small retrace for the aftermath of the snb decision, then it's a large short that I'll ride to 1.00.

I'm Flat #US #Dollar #DX @ $93.30 If my calculation are correct Dollar will have a pull back this week, or a possible change in trend. not sure which one until the move develops. also flat #EURUSD had a great run $$$$$ on both :-)

#EURUSD still respecting 1.1297 crack that level and we will be in a range between 1.1297 - 1.1153.... so far looking good

GBP/NZD daily update. Putting a 45 degree angle off the high on 9-29-14. Then putting a horizontal line off the low on 1-09-15 and squaring it.

You can join a Gunn Study Group. At Yahoo you find "gannstudygroup" Very informative lots of Material to study.

Hi there, no offense to your chart. I have came across gann studies and it always made me wonder how does one even trade with so many lines on the chart. actually, one can close his eyes and draw any number of lines he so wishes. But to add credibility, he needs to add in the maths and give scientific sounding names.

Hello tradingwapro,

I understand that your confusion comes from what you consider the amount of crazy lines on a chart, but to the user of those lines it is loud and clear.
I have traded before these lines and you look for specific lines at different situations so the used does not really see the total amount of lines but only the lines that are valuable to him in the current setup. At least that is how I used them in the past.

tks for your reply. would you enlighten me pls, if statistical studies have been done to determine if the technique have theoretical edge? and what made you move on from using these lines?

The hidden truth is that gann have been fooling us all this time with the maths and scientific names he throws up. he did this to be able to sell his trading advisory to the public mass, to attract the attention of them. Within his impressive trading results, I believe there is no secret or complicate maths & astrology. is likely to be simple methods that has been in the public domains for many years i.e. cut your losses, determine your risk, understand market sentiment, tape reading.

Hi tradingwapro,

Eventually I realized that it does not matter witch line you work with on a chart, that is a personal preference. Almost any line on a chart can be traded as long as you MM is in place. Everything comes down to numbers in the end and works, it does not matter if it is fibs, gann lines or round numbers....it is up to the way the trader trades it if it is going to work, any line any indicator.... it is all between the ears.
