Went long on the GBPUSD and managed it really tight. Put my TP at 50% of the swing as just wanted to lock in some profit for the day and the markets seem a bit crazy today.

Out for +12

-8 pips on the day so far.

Chart also shows my other -10 pip trade

Got taken out +8 pips, managed aggressively and probably left some on the table but that takes me to BE for the day.

Looking at an entry at this level if breaks falling TL. Market seems bearish atm though, which is strange considering negative US news just released.

A short very aggressive, strength, bullish mmtum, and have not yet made a NHL, however, we have a RF, ie a failure to make a new HH, so expect LH and then a LL, there will evaluate and see if we or out.

LL without mtum, go taking positions, and some profit, and control the trade.
Expectation, a re testing of LH, and then evaluate.

Final trade of the day. Been a bit of a crazy day all round, with tick data issues, loss in connection etc.

Took this trade against order flow on a completion of an ABCD. 1:1 movement to the pip hitting the PRZ then taken the trade at the candle end as it confirmed the trade.

Managed this aggressively as against order flow and got taken out when price dropped quickly.

Really happy with this 11 pip winner as it takes me to +11 for the day, and I expected to have a losing day today. Had to step away earlier as was getting frustrated with a couple of losing trades and system issues, too much emotion and would have made mistakes. Came back after a bite to eat and came out a winner.

Trade #3 (GBPUSD 144T):

Short on the rotation of the golden zone of the recent small swing. Risked 10 for 30. Closed my trade manually for +10 upon bullish movement.

I'm done for the day. My brain is throbbing.

If PA drops to around the zone of the top TL and then turns back up as I think it may do then a longer term H&S will be formed and I may increase my target zone. I may be wrong and lose a bit of profit but at least it's a free trade (+6)

Just some personal observations regarding time vs. tick charts; we're all different and need to find our own comfort zone.

I rely heavily on concepts of momentum and acceleration. The problem I find with time charts is the changes between sessions. Is it fair to compare the momentum of a swing during the Tokyo session to a swing occurring in the London session or the NY session when each candle is the same duration but the market participants have varied substantially? Also, a market open or close can significantly skew the appearance of acceleration.

I frequently find it harder to spot things on a time chart because a lot can be hidden (absorbed) in a M5 candle, or even a M1 candle on days like today.

That isn't to say that I don't sometimes spot things on a time chart that I missed on a tick chart. But on balance I miss more on a time chart than I miss on a tick chart.

Wow Traders, had to put in some over time but managed to recover my day I cam out with +17 really difficult day I was against order flow the whole day but due to already being in trades never really got the opportunity to join order flow.

I didn't let the emotions affect my process and managed my trades and came out on top. Haven't worked this hard in a while. Now I will try to catch up with the thread.
