No I was on a AUD/CAD trade. I slept bad all night I was dreaming that I was in a canyon and I was so afraid to fall down, I was terrified... there were so many people around it and I was trading on a huge screen... I woke up when a little girl that I didn't know asked me if she could sleep at our house... obviously her parents we gone.... this is a bad sign. This is a devastating day.

I didn't see the impact on AUD/CAD. Did you get burned real bad? I was up all night and didn't saw that coming.

I was studying then I saw a chart on twitter that EUR/USD has reached -1.17, then I started reading and when I saw the USD/CHF chart I stayed quiet for a moment and then I said What..the..f*ck happened?

I didn't get burned a lot, a little.

Glad to hear it. It's all very messed up, I'll go do something and come back next week I think..when everything has back to normal

I don't think the price is coming back. Maybe a little retracement, but I think that was a HUGE proof of how strong CHF is. Anyway, time will tell

I was looking quickly all my bokers and I had no pending or order open, hopefully, so I stay alive ye Tony, wondering how many traders got burned. As you know you can loose more then your account is and if you got slipped for 5000 pips+??? omg

A lot of thoughts are going through my head now... there are many brokers that went bankrupt today. If I don't come up with a way to avoid a future loss of 3000 pips or 1500 pips spreads I will have to abandon forex too... I'm thinking of trading with a smaller bank account and also to not set any TP in the future... I am deciding now... I'm on the verge of taking a big decision here. excelmarkets.com went bankrupt

OANDA did not become illiquid until 2 minutes after news. I believe your 16 pip SL would have been honored. Also, other people using FX Pro and FXCM also had their SL's honored. Also, some brokers were quoting prices throughout the entire event. I know a trader with Interactive Brokers (IB) who was getting quotes throughout the entire event. Also, FOREX BROKER INC. had no gaps on their MT4 platform.

When was there a 1,500 pip spread and with which broker?

Also, if you had been short USD/CHF or EUR/CHF within 5 minutes before the news I am sure that the spread was not very high. Like I said above, OANDA became illiquid about 2 minutes after the event. So, I think your tight SL would have been honored. Other than that, you could always switch brokers as some of them were still quoting prices throughout the entire event.

You can consult this thread to find out which brokers were able to handle this event. This event was certainly a good "stress test" for brokers.
