Another disgruntled Aussie shorter here. Also pinning my hopes on 0.82, but not sure if I am brave enough to add to my position again at that point. Already have 400k worth of shorts open at various levels, all in the red... Would love to hear from anyone who can offer a reason as to why the Aussie is so strong.

I really don't understand this pair, it's like a crazy one. It's in a big down trend so i very careful with it

Yes, NFP numbers looked good at first glance but looking more closely aren't great. Not just AUD, USD is falling against everything

People, we as traders, we buy when price is cheap, sell when price is deemed high right?

Now, when we think it is cheap, and put in a buy order. Think about who is selling? The MM right? Why will they allow us to win?

Fundamentally speaking, imo there is not much data suggesting why the A/U should spike up like it did. But, who cares? Price surely doesnt.
However, given a short position(in this thread) is sell aud, buy usd. Then, look over to usd/jpy (as of now). that might give an idea of "why" the pair is going up; a strong jpy causing weakness in USD.

So, if outlook is still maintained bearish, just short at a better level right now. CNY data next, and it is also forecasted to be bearish.
