Thanks for pointing that out diggo. I am still overall short AUD at the moment but treading increasingly carefully. Interesting that you are long term bearish AUD. My husband is also Aussie and also long term bearish. I am non-Aussie and long term bullish. Is there something you guys know that we outsiders don't?? I keep pointing out to hubs all the resources you have, and all the land, so sparsely populated. Your population will continue to grow (just choose your immigrants carefully, haha!), and you have enough resources to export for years to come, I just don't understand how the currency can possibly go anywhere but up in the long term. I am waiting for AUD to bottom out any minute now and planning to shift a good chunk of my cash (not my trading account but my bank account) into AUD. We're currently living in Hong Kong but will end up either in Oz or the UK (my home country) so it is useful for us to gradually shift our cash(currently mostly HKD) into either GBP or AUD over the long term, and I am a lot more comfortable with AUD quite frankly.

Agreed 0.800 -0.8012 level as strong support... if price moves through we could see next support at 0.7915-0.7930, which is also the 50% fibs level taken from 2001 lows to 2010 highs. Possibly price could spike there and move quickly above 0.800 levels. But a move below .7900 could see further downside.

The following chart image is the Weekly chart between Aug 2007 and May 2010 showing the strength of the 50% fibs level.

Anyone thinking like me of Aussie back to 0.65 this year? Trading beow 0.80 will pave the way? Pressure on Euro banging all others down with it!

OMG... Thinking is possibility, but chart is reality. Do you know any analitic, who always is right? Check few hundreads pages back and read what someone was thinking and what is now, in fact. After what dont ask there these silly questions.

Will be hard to pass below .8000, just looking at the number of buy orders at .8000 on my broker's order page shows a crazy support level...

It didn't even get close with all the USD news last night. Having said that it hasn't really rallied or bounced too much either so I'm sitting on the sidelines, too much indecision right now.

The chart and thinking = one combination. Chart says 0.60-0.65 the only support if Aussie trades under 0.80 and 0.70 in coming months.
Thinking says RBA wants a weak Aussie, they said it crystal clear. Euro weakness will not keep Aussie over 0.80, unless anyone thinking of big change in euraud price!!, anyone?

Yes, finally!! The set of trades I'm in I took solely with the intent of gaining swap and seeing how long it would take...a masochistic exercise I know, but, it's been good..

watching for a little pullback on the AUD over the next 12-15 hours for some 4hr action to line up better with daily, which is lined up with weekly...So, looking to me like AUD/USD is working it's way into buy the dip mode which should get interesting given RBA stance on the matter....
