is it possible to have an option to select what timeframe you like to use?What i mean is lets say the first input setting is timeframe.eg if you put 15 cos your looking at 15 min chart it auto calcs setting for that timeframe and you have your indicator arrows.i know default is 1min but this trading method can be applied to any timeframe....this way each trader can choose what he ahe woukd like to trade.

I think you could achieve that easily enough by using the CCI set to 70 lookback as that equates to 14 x 5mins = 70, the arrow would then give a 5 min signal, especially if you changed the signal to when the cci recrossed the 100levels eg a buy signal would be after the cci goes down below the -100 level and then recrosses back up over the -100 level, thats the normal cci signal for a buy....

Also, can you pls tell me the calculation of TTindy (via pm if not public)? Because I like to ad them to the indi. ...........

Thats fairly easy its the gradient calculation for the 100lwma(when 100lwma is selected in inputs) here is the calculation we used...


The method to calculate the Gradient is:
Divide the change in height by the change in horizontal distance
Gradient =
Change in Y
Change in X

I'm not sure how you plan to use it but it does make sense to use the slope calculation to measure the strength of the trend, just not sure how you intend to use it?? If it helps call me on skype and we can talk it through, have sent you a PM with skype address give me a call...

Ah ok, I see. Calculation is kinda easy. The difficulty is to decide, when a trend is strong. At which gradient.
Any idea?

Good question, I think its over 20 at least and maybe 30 to be safe..

GBPJPY right now is saying 20 and looks OK but not strong really... I guess te thing is the TTindy is looking at 28 pairs so if we stick to the top 4 we should have a chance but like you say if we set a minimium it would make sense.

That being the case I would say 30 plus is good to go..

And what gradient for higher timeframe?

So you want M15 arrows on M1 chart? Or do you want, if timeframe change also settings change?

I don't realy understand you, sorry. What do you mean with auto calc?

Now I have added the TTindy calculation to the indy. What you think about only pointing arrows if it is a strong trending corrency pair? Like Clive suggested on M1 over 30.

I hope everyone had a great Xmas and will have a happy new year. I think 2015 is gonna be a cracker!!

That would be good if you can have it as a variable input. The idea was always to try and get in on the first system trade.

You cannot go back and see what the TT looked like at the start of a run unless you are talking pics the whole time. With a variable TT input the arrows would change as the number changes 30 to 20 say. That would make back tests a lot easier trying to see what slope looks like at the start of decent moves.

Hi Godsclown

First of all thanks for all the hard work you are putting in its great... but I think there will be a fair bit of trial and error here to get it right...so hope you're a patient man???

To answer your question yes I do think it would be good to have a strength input but like Mr V is suggesting could it be variable so each trader could set it as he /she wants?? For instance 30 would suit me but others might like it more or less sensitive..Also we could then adjust it for the type of day we are experiencing??

As for using it on different timeframes I think yes that would be cool if possible because this strategy can be used on all timeframes. Could you make it so that it trades the same settings depending on what timeframe it sits on or is it easier to have an input to set the timeframe?? I don't know which is easier to code???

If we have a choice it makes sense to me to trade the timeframe of the chart its sitting on...

I'm interested to see how you've incorporated the TTindy settings???

Nothing really setting up as strong across the board this morning so looks like the "Good Old London boys" are still enjoying their Christmas break. Don't expect too much action until they're back probably next week...

TTindy hasn't gone much above 30 either so not even a really strong move from any individual pairs so unless something kicks off in next hour could be a dull LO...

Ahhh GBPCHF looking good for a long... EUR weak GBP strong so GBPCHF the perfect choice, pullback to 1.5400 would be cool as a perfect 61.8 fib move too...

Good job Clive I was watching it too but opted for GJ instead and out with just few pips on pullback. Watching for possible downtrend resumption on this pullback, otherwise I will be closing the trading year shortly and will see you folks in the New Year and wishing all and your families the best in 2015.

Tricky day today as no real strong trends that made any good moves but pleased to have the discipline to not trade unless it sets up correctly...I'm going to try and only trade AAA+ setups in the New Year, but I'm thinking about trading at 1% per pip again like the old days on Dnabrazils thread.

Do you still trade at 1% per pip??

I don't trade the arrows, since the settings are not good jet. To find good tradable settings would be the next step. It is also up to the trader if he trust his stomach or not. For beginners, don't trust your stomach.
But let's ask clive, why he did not go with his strategy.
