I am not using indicators.
One way you learn is go back into history and draw pitchforks and see how they played out.
What i do is draw a line that works as support and resistance many times.
Then copy this line and see if it works on other places as well.
If a line works often it will probably work again so you can use it together with your existing tools.

this is how this one worked out.

Airmac,
Different brokers will have different highs and lows. If you want to have appox. the same fork, you could use the previous low and a median pivot further back. I tried it and it seems to work, but you may need to put in one or two sliding parallels inside the outer parallels.

hm interesting that doesn't work for me at all, I guess I will do it how I see on he chart, but I noticed you have to be careful with spikes, so I will rather follow confluence of events or very obvious highs and lows

Hi airmac,
It looks like the alternate fork that I suggested worked very well. If you had shorted on the retest of the upward fork, you would now be in profit of about 140 pips.
(retest in blue oval)

Hi Devontrader,
The chart is Metatrader (MT4). Just use the stock pitchfork tool and click on a high,low,high or low,high,low.
